No, I am referring to surjavarman.. I find it hard for his order to be processing when he ordered that early. His order is still processing when Apple has moved on to the 2-3 week range. I find it odd, unless he has special circumstances.

On a side note. Don't worry I ordered Tuesday too and am still waiting. I could have ordered right when the store opened but hesitated thinking nobody would purchase one and a day later decided to go for one.

Are you calling me a liar? This is what my order looks like. You can even see my last 5 digits of my order number. I bet its the lowest out of everybody here except for a few 768 giggers.

I'm not saying you are lying, I'm just saying if you had ordered 3 hours after the store opened, it wouldn't have reached 2-3 weeks for estimated time yet. You could have ordered at like midnight June 11 and gotten 2-3 weeks.. You may have certain circumstances. I am just trying to figure out why some people have such late dates even though they ordered on the 11th.

But I did try several high end configurations during the 7-10 day period and did indeed get the 7-10 ship date.

The Canadian store started at 7-10 days. It wasn't up till about 3 hours after the us store.

It helps if you tell us when you placed your order ! ;)

Sorry about that. I placed my order day one. But I placed it after coming home from work so it was about 6-8 hours after the apple store came back online. I'm part of the 2-3 weeks.

I think another thing that helped was the free upgrade on the shipping they gave me. Instead of the regular shipping I got the expedited one. :D

**update

just tracked my shipping a few minutes ago and it tells me it arrived at Memphis TN this evening at 23:56

Since I know fedex doesnt ship/open on Sunday and assuming itll clear customs by Monday hopefully I can get the item in by Tuesday instead of the Wednesday schedule.

Curious! I, too, ordered a BTO model 2-3 hours after the keynote. 2.7/16/768. It's in the 2-3 week range now and is set to arrive between July 2 and July 9. It is still in "processing."

I originally blamed this on the idea that maybe my use of an educational discount had delayed things, but my gift card has already arrived.

I now speculate that Apple stockpiled a certain number of some configurations, especially the baseline and the maxed-out ones, and ran out of certain configurations more quickly than others. My BTO purchase is, I think, what's delaying mine.

At least I haven't been charged for the machine itself yet!

Remember to update your "date last updated" on the spreadsheet, even if you haven't shipped yet, lets people know the general direction... I don't trust any of the 6/21 daters as far as reliability

Doesn't mean they are inaccurate by any means. What can you update if all it says is "Processing items" no matter how many times you refresh per day?

But if you really want an update, I need help deciding between hanging, OD, or slashed wrists. Mine has to ship by Wednesday morning if I want any chance to get mine on time before I leave home for a while, and the stress is killing me.

2:40 a.m. Est, just got back from Niagara By the lake, and I got a preparing for shipment.

Estimation was July 4-9, in Canada

No you are wrong. I ordered this only 3 hours after the online store opened again. And it is still processing. 3 hours! I am sick and tired of that.

I am just going to sit this one out but after I got my retina I am never going to buy anything from apple again. Apple just lost a customer. I have been a loyal customer for years and this is the 2nd time that I order on the web and they just screwed it up

So let me get this straight. You won't buy another Apple product again because you ordered an insanely popular item with a 2 to 3 week ship time. And you are upset that 1 person might get it a little sooner then you ?

You are going to get your order within that 2 to 3 week window, what else matters ?

Doesn't sound like you are a very loyal customer.

Well I do agree, overreacted is probably a better word than "spoiled child". However, when dealing with people remember this is the internet and etiquette and politically correct language don't always come first :p

He has every right to be irritated, you drop 2,3,4k or whatever it is on a laptop and have to wait 4 weeks for it, its going to be frustrating. Apple make great products which is the only reason I am waiting. If it was any other manufacturer I would have cancelled in a heart beat.

Deep down, you must know you're lying to yourself a little bit here. You'll get that rMBP and within 30 minutes (assuming you don't have a faulty screen or aren't experiencing lag), you will completely forget about shipping estimates and will happily order the next big thing that comes along. Apple has you for life.

The only way things change is by competition. Apple doesn't really have any real competition in my opinion, other pc and phone makers are always one step behind! I wish they would get their act together.

Is it just me or can others not access apple order tracking. It says "we're sorry, something went wrong with your request..."

Hmm my order status page is down, does that happen before it changes? I hope so ;).

Same for me and I'm not expected to ship for another couple of weeks, so unfortunately probably not, think there's often weekly maintenance around this time.

The same message has appeared for me. There are loads of threads about this very issue from previous months/years, so sadly it's an Apple thing and not related to updates to our individual orders.
