Macbook Pro 2012 Order Status thread (all models)

ordered 6/20, still in processing stage for MBPr, 3-4 weaker here. However the "gesture of good will" extra magsafe2 power adapter that was added to order yesterday morning shipped out of Newark this morning estimating to be here July 3.
(how weird will it be to have a way to power a device and not receive said device until approximately 2 weeks later)

At least yours will be approximately 2 weeks later... My 2.7/16/768 order placed on /11 is still processing for the laptop, but I got my MagSafe2 adapter, Thunderbolt to Gigabit Ethernet, and SuperDrive a couple days later. So I have had accessories for a laptop yet to be shipped for more than 2 weeks already - and still no indication of when I'll get my MBPr.

Same situation here. Ordered immediately when the store opened on the 11th and got the 3-5 week estimate. Sounds like if I would have ordered a day LATER, I would have the computer SOONER. Makes no sense...

same here. i ordered on the 11th as soon as the online store opened too.
it really makes me think apple is using the shipping estimates to prioritize orders over who actually placed orders first.

I regularly use HD to refer to main storage regardless of SS or DD. Typically specifics are SSD and HDD. Sorry for the confusion.

well, then Apple probably ships by estimated delivery date rather than ordering date.

I ordered a 2.7/512/16 mid day on the 12th and finally got the shipping notice Friday morning. It left Shanghai on FDX90 around 9am PDT which went straight to Memphis landing around midnight last night. I tracked it again this morning and somehow it had made its way all the way back to the west coast (southern CA) and was listed as "At local FedEx facility" in my small town.

I called and they let me come pick it up, the lady said that for some reason mine was not in a crate (maybe from one of the sort facilities) so I didn't have to wait until Monday when they open the crate and sort through the rest! In total it was roughly 24hrs from leaving Apple to arriving here which is pretty impressive.

I'm going to go ahead and guess that they still get Sundays off in Shanghai? Are they given bridge days off to 4th of July, or would they still operate on the 2nd and 3rd with the 4th off? Haha. Estimated delivery is 7/6, much better than the 7/12-7/18 they projected.

Yep, happy to report that it changed to shipped this morning. Hoping to get it by the end of the week.

I think if you ordered it by standard shipping, it will use Fedex international economy, which does not process during weekends; Expedited shipping use Fedex international priority which will be processed during weekends.

My 2.6/16/768 is on its way to NZ, went through the stages and has left pudong on TNT last night! It's 8am Sunday here. Ordered on 13/7 (day after wwdc here), was originally slated for 11/7 delivery, changed to 13/7, now 6/7. Hope it works!

That is strange! I even paid for expidited shipping and never asked for a refund. Where is your home town?

Mine is standard and has the International Priority. All of the orders i've seen tracking info posted for have been IP. Many of them were listed as "standard" with Apple.

I'm standard and have International Economy. I'm also one of the 3 people here who has the Shipment Exception today. Maybe they were giving Priority to everyone who ordered earlier and only giving Economy to people who ordered later with standard shipping (I ordered the 23rd btw).

However, after being unsuccessful at trying to make the change his supervisor told him that I was already getting the fastest shipping they offer. My shipping method says standard on Apple's web page, but it shipped International Priority. Maybe the BTO orders got automatically bumped up? I also have EDU discount status, don't know of that made a difference.

I also have the education discount, but it's a standard 2.3/8/256 order. My guess is either everyone who ordered before a certain date (maybe like the 20th?) or everyone who did BTO got Priority (the 'Expedited') instead of Economy ('Standard').

Just got a tracking update. My Mac is in Anchorage, AK. Guess it wasn't on FDX48. Oh well, AK or TN, it doesn't matter as long as they put it on another flight soon. Get that Mac to VT where it belongs!
