Are there any Australians that can confirm their RMBP has shipped yet? I haven't seen any Aussies post about it yet.

Mine left Alaska today around 5:45pm pst and just arrived in Oakland CA. I'm in CA and originally supposed to get delivery on Monday. Hopefully I get it tomorrow.

Highly unlikely, sorry.

Mine is still processing with a 2-3 week ship time. My Smart Case shipped, though and it's saying my gift card shipped too. I thought the gift card would come with the computer, but I'm not complaining!

Mine is also sitting on processing with 2-3 weeks with delivery date of Jun 29 - Jul 6 via 2-3 Business Days

Let me know if you get a change!

LOL FedEx, I could never understand how it works.

Just checked the package status, it has gone from Shanghai to Memphis and it's destination is in Los Angeles.

I guess FedEx just want to keep their international routes from and to their headquarters instead of more flexible destinations.

I'll be darned if they have it sent to LA overnight and deliver it tomorrow...

It's because they are most likely only allowed one major US Customs entry point. Middle America works best from a logistics standpoint.

These companies spend billions on logistics to figure out how to get packages from point a to b in the shortest amount of time. Trust me if its going to memphis, its going to memphis for a good reason.

Yeah that's what I figured.

See in Southern California, the biggest logistics airport is not LAX, but an airport east of LA, in the City of Ontario. Majority of air cargo coming and from LA (domestic anyways) goes to Ontario. Major carries have hubs around there, in addition to the close proximity to railroad transportation.

Anyway it'll be awesome if they can get them out overnight and deliver it. Otherwise it'll be a looooooooong weekend.

I suppose I can kill 48 hours with D3 lol.

How long does it usually take for Apple to ship when status is "preparing for shipment"? A day more?

my order status changed from:

ships in 2-3 weeks, delivery between 04 and 10 july

to

ships in 3-4 weeks, delivery between 18 and 24 july

how is that possible??

FX's MEM departure bank is starting now and will continue over the next hour or two. Has anyone seen any update on the tracker about their package leaving Memphis? My gut tells me that since the delivery date isn't supposed to be until Monday, FX will pull the packages out during the sort and they'll sit at MEM until Sunday night :(

Mine's going to London, UK, with UPS. Apparently arriving Tuesday.

Incheon, Korea, Republic of 15/06/2012 13:04 Departure Scan

Shanghai, China 14/06/2012 22:02 Export Scan

I'm in Brisbane and ordered mine when it was 2-3 week estimate (specs in signature). It's still in the "Processing Items" stage and I'll let you know when it ships (hopefully soon!) :)

Ordered mine on the 11th from the UK store but got stuck in the 7-10 days dispatch queue, still processing with a delivery date of 27th - 2nd June :(

Was able to track the flight from China to Alaska, but now I'm confused. Says Anchorage and in transit at 5pm yesterday. I don't see any flights out to Memphis or Indy around that time.

Mine left Memphis early this morning. I'm scheduled for Monday delivery, but I've definitely gotten other packages from Apple the same morning that they left Memphis. So we'll see.

Update: It reached IAD at 5:30am local. So now I think it is fairly likely I'll get it today instead of Monday.

It's usually the same day, as in within 24 hours, not necessarily the same calendar day wherever you happen to be. For example, mine switched to "preparing for shipment" Thursday about 11:00 AM Eastern time, and switched to shipped sometime between midnight and 2:00 AM Friday.

Delivery is showing as Wednesday by noon. I'm assuming it will make it to Anchorage or Memphis later today and spend the weekend there, flying to Calgary to arrive there Monday morning - after which it should REALLY arrive Tuesday in Toronto, so I'll be interested in seeing how they stretch it to Wednesday. And it's no faster than their regular free shipping.
