I received mine 1 day before Fedex estimated I hope all of you will receive yours soon too

I went to the facility today to pick up my package. 4 different FedEx representatives assured me it would be here at 9 am this morning. Of course, it's not here. The employee called all over the United States and he just now told me that they lost the package. I cannot believe something like this could happen in 2012.

The employee at the FedEx facility is calling me back at 2 to let me know where it is. I don't understand how you can just lose $2.5 of merchandise. I will never use FedEx again.

YES! Looks like Fedex is 9 mins early. Just received my rMBP. As I type this, I have not opened it yet but instead I am writing this post! :p Wishing all to have their rMBP on time. Mine came one day early which was not expected. Fedex delivered on this one! Awesome.

DELIVERED!!! Fedex estimated the 6th, but it's in my hands NOW. Will update the spreadsheet, then open her up.

Kinda cynical.. it happens what is the alternative that would be better? If anything I think Fedex is the best option. UPS is awful from my experience and USPS is ok but service is not as good as Fedex.
 
For the people expecting rMBP's today, when did you order and when did Apple originally estimate for delievery?

Also, what model did you get?

Says who? you? I think I read your other post somewhere whining about something else..

Who are you going to use since you have such high expectations? You must be a model employee and peachy to work with but seriously..

What was your estimated delivery date? Was the sorting facility the final address? Why did you go to the sorting facility and not wait for it to delivery to your address?

I asked this because if you are the one changing the destination or method of delivery mid-way through the process, you have to expect some hiccups.

This is like waiting for water to boil to cook your food and you have not eaten for 3 days. I almost forgot what this was like... I ordered my intel Mac Pro on the day it was announced and it took so long too! Good thing is the Mac Pro has work flawlessly for me all these years!
 
Anyone ever seen anything like this on their tracking with FedEx? Not sure why it would go to a local facility in China when it's got to go to VA.

Mine is similar except that I don't have the "At local FedEx facility" update. But mine "Left FedEx origin facility" on the 30th and I haven't had an update since.
 
Mine left Memphis ~16hours ago, no updates since. I'm from Toronto, Canada (90 min flight from memphis), I'd think there should be some type of update by now.

Because Fedex doesn't make Apple products It has to come from some where first before being handled to Fedex. You are at the starting stage and have not left the country yet.

I guess that came off a little strong. I'm a very chill guy I promise. It's just that when I order something and am told that it will be there on a specific day, it should be there. It really scares me though that they has no idea where a $2500 package is. I understand that is nothing compared to some business shipments but this is a pretty big investment for myself at least.

Me personally, I've always had good service with UPS. I've never had a problem at all.

When you go somewhere to pick up your package and instead of getting handed your laptop, a guy comes out and says, "umm... Yea, I called all over the US and your guess is as good as mine as to the location of your package" you start to freak out a bit.
 
yay 512/2,6/16 ordered on 15th to Munich,Germany just switched to "Preparing for Shipment"
