I guess that came off a little strong. I'm a very chill guy I promise. It's just that when I order something and am told that it will be there on a specific day, it should be there. It really scares me though that they has no idea where a $2500 package is. I understand that is nothing compared to some business shipments but this is a pretty big investment for myself at least.
Me personally, I've always had good service with UPS. I've never had a problem at all.
When you go somewhere to pick up your package and instead of getting handed your laptop, a guy comes out and says, "umm... Yea, I called all over the US and your guess is as good as mine as to the location of your package" you start to freak out a bit.

Yay! Just over 12 hours after getting the 'Preparing for Shippment' status mine has changed to 'Shipped' - UK order from 14th, see signature for details!
