Anothe day... Another disappointment.

Another bad day for a 768-er from the 11th. The dammed 3-5 week group. Still processing. People are getting their laptops more than a week before their estimates. Well, that's not for us.

Not yet I don't think. I'm the 17th. I'm hoping by the end of the week it goes to Preparring. Hopefull that by the end of next week I receive my rMBP. But that is just wishful thinking.

I am seeing more 15th orders going through now.

Did you pay for expedited shipping? I did... I've also spoken to Apple twice. They just say be patient and it will come. I filled out a survey they emailed me and said my issue was not resolved. Apple called yesterday and left a message telling me to call if I have more questions but that I was scheduled for delivery on the 5th.

I'll call them back today and report here.

Got bumped to free expedited shipping on 14th after ordering 9 am MDT on the 13th.
Took a while to move to shipping , but really disappointed how many delays we've had at each step of the shipping process. Seems like may people really moved quickly once they moved to shipping ( some have maded from factory to front door in less than 3 days. Ours are going to be about 7 days.

Finally, after sitting in Shanghai since Saturday night, my order has left. Woohoo.

Edit: Hm, flightaware says FDX28 was scheduled for 8:30pm (Chinese time) departure, going to Anchorage. So I wonder if mine is going somewhere else, if it left almost 2 hours earlier (since that's the only plane going from Shanghai to Anchorage). Hm.

i still haven't heard back from the second manager i spoke to. it seems like they just want to sweep all the 6/11 768s under the rug and forget about us. hopefully we'll get our laptops this year.

Which model did you purchase? My 2.7/16/768 is still processing since my order in the early afternoon of 06/11. I just called Apple - no update; I called my Credit Card company - no problem with my card and no contact by Apple for a verification.

The woman at 1-800 Apple said there is a delay in the shipping of the 768 drive units but, of course, she couldn't explain why people who ordered after me have already received their computers with the 768 drive.

So, disappointed.

Mine says tomorrow before noon but I was hoping for today. You still didn't get your card? I got my SuperDrive and card sitting on my desk taunting me for a couple of weeks now, haha. Just called FedEx and the guy said that the "IN TRANSIT" is normal to be stuck this long, said it should be out for delivery tomorrow, try calling them and asking when yours will be out, maybe they'll confirm that it's today 😕

I think its because it doesn't go by order date but by delivery estimates. So because the 768gb is in short supply, and has been from the start, people who ordered later than you still have the same delivery window. So they could just be winning the lucky dip and you're being ridiculously unlucky. =/. It's really odd they haven't done an authorisation though, however I'm not sure myself if they have done that for mine.

I order the stock 2.3/8/256 model from the education store on 15/6. Getting anxious now as it needs to be shipped by the end of this week if I'm going to get it a day early or the early estimate (16th-20th July) as it takes 7 days to ship from China to the UK.

I asked this before, and I'm sure no one knows the answer. But here it goes anyway: Does anyone have any ideas why the delivery estimates for the 768 were in flux in the first couple of days? Why did they start at 3-5 weeks and then go down to 2-3 weeks? Why did Apple suddenly (and incorrectly) think it could satisfy demand in 2-3 weeks when just hours earlier it started at 3-5 weeks?

Almost 3.5 friggin weeks and we are still not even through the first week of orders! There must have been some major cock up with production. This is getting ridiculous its just getting slower and slower!

No update yet, still processing. Ordered early on 6/16 - 2.6 16 512. The dispatch time was 3-4 weeks and I will be hitting the 3 weeks mark later this week. Hoping for some movement soon, getting very bored now!

I don't usually order apple gear online I usually just get it in store so maybe some of you guys who have experience with this can help me understand this. Does this happen every time they launch a new product? You order online and they get backlogged and you dont get your order for over a month?

Im just trying to figure out if this is a cock up or if it is genuinely because of insane demand.

My UPS Tracking Info just changed to say that it had it's 'Export Scan' from Shanghai (even though it was shipped yesterday...).
Apple is still saying 5th delivery and UPS says 6th!
