another 6/11 here, ordered 30 seconds after the online store came back up.
still stuck in processing, no charge on my card. all i was told was that they don't think anything is going on, business as usual.

all my local stores in austin, tx say they haven't gotten any 2.7/16/768s yet.

Are you 3-5 weeks?

The point isn't missed delivery windows, it's that people who ordered after the 11th are receiving their computers before people who ordered on the 11th. This is not a fair way to distribute these things.
It's not fair!!

Sure it is! As long as Apple gets you your computer within the promised delivery window, it's fair. I'm sure there's a method to the madness, but it's senseless trying to figure it out.

Just be patient, and if your delivery window comes and goes and you still have no computer, then pitch a fit.

No, it's actually not fair. Don't know what world you live in, but if two people get in line, I'd expect the one in front to be serviced first (assuming all else equal).

People are entitled babies. Apple needs to get with the picture. Make sure everyone gets their delivery on the last possible day of their window, that way everything is fair(tm)

I'll let everyone get their computer 2 weeks early if it means I get mine 1 week early. People need to grow up.

There is more then one line here bud. Some are express lines for certain products and others are the slow lines. Apple isn't a hardware store.

flawed logic, make sure everyone gets their computers on the same day - the last day of the longest delivery window. then you're bad analogy will be consistent.

actually, they are. there are several lines, but we are only looking at one line. outside of that line, we don't care.

Every one of us knew the estimated shipment duration before we finalized our purchases. While we are being optimistic and hoping for earlier shipments, there is nothing unfair about shipment terms that were made apparent during the transaction.

If you do not like it, cancel your order and get a PC.

Arrived at FedEx location at 9:52pm in Oakland last night. Guessing that July 6th estimate will probably be right... still kind of wondering why I paid extra for 2-3 days shipping. Even with a Sunday and a holiday factored in that's still more time than what I paid for.

Finally its heading to an end

04 Jul 2012 19:29:27 Prague Shipment Arrived In Warehouse
04 Jul 2012 18:29:57 Prague Shipment Received At Destination Depot.
03 Jul 2012 15:58:32 Arnhem Hub Shipment In Transit.
29 Jun 2012 18:38:15 Pudong International Airport Shipment In Transit.
28 Jun 2012 21:22:00 Pudong International Airport Shipment Received At Transit Point.
28 Jun 2012 21:03:00 Shanghai Shipment In Transit.
28 Jun 2012 20:54:10 Shanghai Shipment In Transit.

Shame we have holiday until weekend in CZE so estimated delivery is on Monday when Im on my holiday ffs :D

Already arranged delivery on Wednesday though so at least Ive got solid point of meeting my beauty :)

I'm bound to agree with some of the sentiments on here. This isn't the first time at the races for Apple with a brand new product. But the same thing that always happens with a new product, is again happening with this one. An almost unreasonably long wait time for orders placed the first month the product is available. Have they not learned how to properly control the supply chain to prevent this from happening?

I understand the arguments about there being an extreme level of demand for this MacBook Pro with Retina Display. I also realize that Apple is doing everything it can to get these orders out as fast as possible. I think the problem started when they announced that it'd be shipping "Today" during the keynote. Today really means 3-5 weeks from that day.

I think they've started doing this kind of thing as a matter of practice. They realize they can't fulfill all the orders in a reasonable time-frame. But they also realize that people are willing to put up with it. As demonstrated by people like myself that ordered one, and everyone else on this thread. It's sort of borderline bad business to make people wanting your products wait up to a month for said products. But they can get away with it, and will continue to do so.

Funny. Your's seems to be in the same plane like mine. Update to my previous posting: Landed in Warsaw, Poland, 6:35 pm (18:35) local time according to UPS. The way/stops for European MBPRs: China, Korea, Kazakhstan, Poland. And I guess Amsterdam will be the next.

Yeah! Maybe... I'd guessed Germany next, but who knows!

I ordered mine on 06/26 and it is 2.6/16/512 (going to Poland, Europe) by telephone from AOS. Apple website says that I'm in 3-4 week window with estimated delivery on 07/30 - 08/03 but the Apple rep. I was talking on the phone while placing the order told it can even take up to 5-6 weeks (!) I don't know what would be more accurate - data on the website or what I was said by the rep.? From what I read here on the forums a lot of people are getting some gift cards and other nice acts of good will like superdrives ... is it happening in the US only or someone from Europe got anything free from Apple due to delays in shipping?

You get a $100 Mac App Store gift card if you're a student/teacher and order from the Apple Online Education Store. It's not a gesture of good will. The free SuperDrives and stuff seem to be given to people that were amongst the first to order and have yet to receive their machines-- only if you call up Apple and complain enough.

Totally and utterly agree!

Well, stopped by my local Apple store, they had 0 rMBP's in stock.

Guess my wait continues... June 12th order, base model.

Got mine today! I could have gotten it on Monday but I was out of town.

Ordered June 12th around 1 AM ET (7 AM CET). 2.3/16/256 model.

Very happy with it so far :D

I called and kind of "complained" more about people ordering later and getting their machines before me, but my order is still within the window of being on time, so it wasn't good enough of a complaint. Not even reimbursed "rushed/expedited" shipping $15 that I paid. B

Oh well
