Resellers shouldnt get BTO models, that's Bulls***. So now I have to wait because Apple is delivering these to resellers when they aren't available in their own retail store?

This is not cool... I got a delay

Clearance delay - Import
MEMPHIS, TNShipment requires a Commercial Invoice."

There are 440 MBPs in that shipment. I called Fedex and am now on the phone with Apple, kind woman gave me free in-ear headphones for my trouble :). Fedex said it's an issue with the paperwork Apple provided and that they're waiting on them. I'll give you guys more information once Apple gives it to me.

I ordered on June 25th and I think our order won't be changed because it is calculated from June. 1 week gap? Maybe a few days again ours will be shipped. I hope so :D

Hey, I am a new MacRumors user and I have question regarding my rMBP order. I ordered the computer June 21, 2012 and became a delivery estimate of 3 to 5 weeks which translates to 7/17 to 7/31. But since Apple dropped down the estimates to 2 to 3 weeks or 3 to 4 weeks in some cases, I wanted to know WHY isn't MY order updating. It is still 3 to 5. Can anyone clarify me?

Thanks in advance!

Refence: 16GB as BTO option.

It's from the order date. You should see your Mac when you originally expected to.

Same here, you'd figure they would have all this sorted out. It's absurd but likely that everyone is having the same problem through Memphis.

I ordered mine last night witht the 3-4 week est. Think Ill get changed to 2-3 weeks?

I think I am being a bit late. But late is better than never right? Anyway, I ordered my rMBP on 6/21 and had a shipping estimate at 3 to 5 weeks. I am from THAILAND. So if there's anyone from Thailand or somewhere near, please let me hear you.
My config is 2.3/16/256 (Just added 16GB for BTO option)

A few of us discussed this on the past few pages. There's a whole pallet affected.

Has anyone seen any 2.7's go out recently? Seems like most shipments from the 6/18-6/20 range have been 2.3-2.6 models....

Preparing for shipment

2.3/16/256 ordered June 20.

I'm heading out to be there when my daughter gives birth. A couple days ago I changed the shipping address to my hotel! So, I'll get my present early next week.

Also, I only JUST figured out that BTO means build to order.

Thank you, I thought I was the only clueless one.

I ordered on June 20 RMBP CTO (added 16 gb of ram) and it finally shopped today.

The expected delivery day *was* between July 23-27. it is now updated expected delivery on July 20.

2.3/16/256 Can EDU June 21 order processing, hope it'll change today or this weekend. Seems some 21st orders are starting to go out!

Lucky you! They offered me no such thing when I gave them a ring. :)
It must be undeniable charm ;). Wonderful agent at Apple told me that she is almost 100% sure that we will all be receiving our laptops by the estimated date...She also gave me her email and said she would keep up with my order to let me know of any changes so as soon as I hear something you guys will be the first to find out.

Around 12 hours after changing to 'preparing', my base model rMBP has officially shipped!

Delivery by UPS, estimated delivery to Northern Ireland on 19th July. The wait is almost over. Original delivery estimate was 16-20th, so, it falls within estimate at least. It's going to be a long 6 days...

It should take 24 hours before the shipment appears on the UPS tracking website, correct?

Honestly, the day that I NEVER EVER have to see this again (see attached) I will be a very happy man.

Cancelled order from Apple -- got a next day saturday shipment lined up from abt in Chicago www.abt.com still stock in some 16 GB BTO models.

I did the same minus the next day. Joshua is a great guy and big up to abt for the excellent customer service. They did charge me for shipping, but judging that I saved $200 on tax and I would still be waiting weeks for my rMBP, that's a very tiny price to pay. Expected in my hand by Wednesday, but I'm thinking Tuesday. Perfect timing. I have to work until then anyways.

My ABT order has shipped! I asked a worker on the live chat about what time it'll be shipped and apparently they had to make a call to my grandparents (I used their card) to confirm the transaction, which my grandparents missed. So she gave me the number so my grandfather could call. He did and now it's all sorted out :p can't wait to get it tomorrow! Might have to sleep in a bit to make the time pass :D

In case you haven't noticed, it's been a 3-4 week wait on EVERY model, not just BTO  obviously the 16GB models are high in demand, so why wouldn't resellers send Apple an order asking for those?

Because they should be treated like the rest of retail outlets, who get base models.
