Are you still within the expected delivery date? If you are stop complaining, they'll get it out to you on time
This is a beautiful piece of tech! No dead pixels o the screen or blemishes in the casing whatsoever. Perfect.
I'm coming from an iMac and had worried about the screen size being a difficult adjustment but with how crisp text is on this screen, I'm not so worried.
If I close the lid to let Migration Assistant run, will it go to sleep on me instead? I'm not quite sure what to do here.

UPS VS. FedEx

My original order and my replacement order is coming through UPS. What determines who you get as a carrier?
On the Original ordered I ordered on the 14th at 10:00PM and my girlfriend ordered the same config two hours later. She got hers 6 days before me through FedEx. Mine was through UPS and ended up defective on top of that. I wonder if they have two Warehouse that produce them... I was happy she got it before because it was her first Mac and I buy one once a year but still it's hard to understand. Same address, Ordered within hours of each other but shipped on different days and using different carriers. I think that might explain why some orders seem to go through faster.

Luckily enough I don't although my wife may moan if I am using it too much though.

so, because I am still in the extremely long window I was originally given, I shouldn't be upset that people that were behind me in line got theirs first. Twisted logic my friend.
No you really shouldn't be upset over something as ridiculous as a delivery date, mine is coming tomorrow, I've been waiting since the 21st June, Apple promised it would be here by the 27th of July and it will be.
Just cool down, get on with your life and it will turn up before the date you've been told it will turn up, I don't see why you're stressing out over something like a laptop. Don't worry about anyone else's delivery times.

Well, given the popularity, it wouldn't surprise me if Apple is using both fedex and ups (Apple might also be playing them off one another, to get lower shipping prices). Her order got on one truck, and yours went on the other.
Ok, just got off the phone with apple, again. Talked to the rep and asked why some other orders where going out before me. She said that she couldn't say why unless it was a different config than mine. I told her that I felt like I had been lied to in that I was promised that my laptop would be built and shipped in order. She told me that she understood my frustration and hooked me up with a free ncase backpack ($80 value). She also told me that my order did indeed look like it would ship on the est date and not really any earlier (although it could if production increased somehow). At the end of the call, she mentioned that she noticed I had called several times now, and that they could only see what I could see from my order page. Essentially she was telling me that they have done all they could do and that there was no more information to be had by calling them (so basically, please stop calling)
Anyway thought I would share that if your order status hasn't updated, it may be prudent to just wait for the email saying that your order has shipped.

thank you so much! You have put it all in perspective! Give me a break man....if I ordered before someone else I should get it first...pretty simple.
If the same spec I would agree, if one production line is faster/faces less demand than another then not.
yeah that was the point. I was referring to someone that posted on here that he ordered his July 16th and its shipped....with the exact same spec.
received mine 2 hours ago too bad im at work and its still sitting in its box i cant wait to get home and open it

P.S. anyone who got the gift card and want $100 instead, call apple and ask them to cancel the gift card... they'll do that and put $100 back in your account ... i initially cancelled it because i never got the gift card on the time window apple said i should get it, so figured it was lost in the mail or stolen... so i cancelled the card, was credited $100... so unless you plan on buying $100 worth of apps, you may be able to return it and save $100

good luck to all waitingyeah we must be on the same shipment then cuz mine has been in transit since 4:12 PM memphis time as well, I think the're just waiting for the first plane, which will take off 4:32 am memphis time to vancouver (link below)... FedEx had no flights on Sunday hence thats why its been sitting there waiting for a plane

Do they credit it back to your debit/credit card? Did you cancel it online or by calling them?
Also since mountain lion is being released tomorrow does that mean that I won't be able to redeem my serial number to get ML added to my app store account so I can install it on my other macs?
