Yes it is. Its so much better having a date than not knowing anything!! Still waiting on yours to switch?
 
Returned my BTO 2.3/16/256 because it had a yellow tint to the display.

Now with the new configurations I ordered the 2.6/16/256 with my educational discount so hopefully this one will come back with a good screen. Since it was only $100 more.

I wonder if I can call and complain and get expedited shipping or something else since I was counting on this laptop.

Ordered on 7/31 in the morning w/ 2-3 day shipping.
Got that 5-7 days email.
Delivers Aug 14 - Aug 16.

:/ I just need my rMBP already... my current Macbook just got destroyed forcing me to use an old Dell with XP.
 
I enjoyed my 2.3/16GB/256GB while I had it (definitely worth the month of waiting) but I had to send it off for return today because I already filled up the 256GB SSD. :eek:

So yesterday I ordered a 2.6/16GB/512GB (under education discount), called Apple and politely asked for free 2-3 day delivery, and it should be here by August 14. However, my first one came in a week before the estimated delivery date, so hopefully something similar happens here. :)
 
Ordered mine today and I'm so excited ! It's estimated to come on August 20th-22nd.. pretty long! But after reading the thread a lot of people received it before the actual estimated date! Let's hope the same happens to mine :D

Can anyone confirm their recent orders come with ML? :rolleyes:

if you ordered it today, you will definately have mountain lion
 
Ordered mine (base modell 2,3GHz) on August 1st and they also told me that ML will be pre-installed :)

I called apple yesterday and they told me that ML would certainly come pre-installed if I odered it now.
 
MacMall to the rescue.

I happened to be changing buses at the mall where my local Apple Store is and I figured that was as good a sign as any to go get my MBP. Unfortunately, because of my strange situation of studying in both the US and the UK, the guy at the store was quite insistent that I could receive no discount. I left the store quite irritated, as I'd received one a few years earlier on the same qualifications, but when I went home I phoned MacMall and within minutes my rMBP order was placed, discount and all.

Just counting down the days now!
