I ordered my rMBP on August 2nd, specs are 2.6 Ghz/16GB RAM/768GB SSD and it just got changed to "Preparing For Shipment" today.. Purchased it from the US store.

Curious.. Did you get expedited shipping? Mine is standard and via UPS, also going to Toronto, but expected on Friday. It's on route but hasn't cleared customs yet and that can take a few hours sometimes.
I got free expedited shipping from Apple customer service and it's coming via FedEx but my final destination is Edmonton. So I'm about 1 day later than my estimated arrival date which was supposed to be Today. However it still says In Transit from Indianapolis.
I'm crossing my fingers it will come today.
I ordered it in the evening of 07/30 shipped on 08/04. So I am within the expected 5-7 Business days when it's shipped, I think? hahah
Boo! FedEx tried delivering it first thing in the morning, before my office opened. Now I have to wait until tomorrow because they won't attempt a second delivery today.
EDIT: Woo! FedEx came back! The only drag is I didn't get to open it in front of everybody and waste half of my work day setting it up and playing with it.

I'm going to give my order another two working days until I cancel. Ten days showing Processing Items when others are ordering and receiving their items within four days is a joke.
Which config? When did you order it? I ordered mine on 8/2 and hasn't shipped yet.

1st one had a log off issue, never checked for IR so return it to the apple store
2nd One - Currently using and has IR issue with LG display Apple ordered a advance replacement for me.
3rd one- I ll update it once I get it.
And just in case I ordered another one with 2.6/16GB/256 on 6th Aug and it went to preparing for shipment when I checked around 9.00 pm EST. So looks like I ll get that on monday. So after that I ll decide which one to keep. I m more inclining towards 2.6/16GB/256 one rather than the 2.3 one. I hope one of them have a samsung display specially the 2.6 one. So I can get away with this opening up rMBP in every 2 weeks.

Has it actually shipped yet? Mine has been in the preparing for shipment for more than 24 hours at this point.

Mine just shipped today and it's also in Shanghai China. I'm with UPS what about you?

Looks like our machines have been traveling together - where's yours headed? I'm to Chicago.
EDIT: I think it would have said "clearance exception" if there was an issue getting it through customs/sent back to china?
Agreed, I think the "exception" was supposed to be between the two "in transits", which would seem to make more sense. Maybe it was entered late.
Ok, so I just got mine in!
ordered on the 7/19 and delivered on 8/9. The shipment took longer than 1-2 weeks because of the free student giftcard discount.
Other than that everything went pretty smooth I guess, everyone goodluck with theirs cheers!
