MacBook Pro Boot Issue

My late 2013 MacBook Pro running OS X Mavericks is have troubles. I'm able to turn on the computer and get to the login screen, then it just freezes. I'm able to run the computer in safe mode with no problems. I've also read around and there's a lot of signs pointing to a logic board issue. I'm looking for a solution! Thanks!

When a Mac has problems which go away when running in safe mode, most times it's a software issue. Mavericks is now pretty old and there's likely some recent non-Apple driver/daemon/launch/etc. software that you have that is not compatible with Mavericks. Its not my hard drive, i checked it with DriveDx

SOMETHING "in your personal software setup" is mucking things up.
This is obvious because when you boot into safe mode, it runs without problems.

The difference between "regular" mode and "safe" mode is that in safe mode, nothing is running but Apple-installed software.

You said you ran EtreCheck.
Post the results here, so we can see and comment about your 3rd-party stuff.

As you mention and as the EtreCheck report indicates, this is right after a clean install. Are you having problems running in the regular (non-safe) mode at this point or does your computer have problems without putting additional software on?

The problem seems to have solved itself everyone. Im up and running just fine. I did reset the PRAM and SMC, maybe that did it?

It's possible that a SMC/NVRAM reset fixed your issues but I think it's much more likely that you had some software conflict that got cleared up by doing a clean install. There's a lot of software that will activate without the user starting it. For example, if you install their software, Adobe and Microsoft have background processes that check for updates to their software. There are other types of background software that you could have installed as well. If you re-install the offending software using the same version you had previously, the chances are that your problems will return. Whatever software you install, you should make sure it's compatible with Mavericks (check the software company's website).
