The first pic is fake too.

Notice the side of the display cover. It's supposed to be aluminum but you can see through it because the power cable is showing right through what's supposed to be aluminum..

Look at it. It's got to be fake.

I guess you've never seen a shakey/blurry picture before. Those sort of artifacts are common.

PS: No firewire is a dealbreaker. Looks like I'll be getting something running Vista for 'pro' work.

uhh... We've already seen the keyboard and trackpad with button in a previous spy shot. I think this is just a blurry photo from an angle that doesn't show very much. Just like everybody who thinks cause the lines of some of the ports are a little blurred that it must be a fake... It all looks real to me and I think it looks really good. Trying to figure out how they can pull off a matte option though, would the entire surface be matte including the bezel? I guess it would have to be...

Also, looks like I was right about the bottom of the case having a taper. You can see the black shadow under the side on the second photo, and then a reflection of the light gray aluminum with the ports. It shows that there's about a half cm from the bottom of the ports to the actual surface of the table. And obviously we're also seeing that the back of the screen is also tapered. Cool stuff!

That photo is a mockup

I think it would be perfect without the black bezel and if they put the power "button" where it is on the Air, not in the corner.

...And my crappy PS skills reveal a really rough mockup of a Macbook.

When that was posted, it was an admited mock-up...

oops, sorry Arn, this thread is fast!

No Macbooks, No Cash 4 Apple

If they don't release macbooks, I'm done. I will just never buy a laptop. I'm so sick of the bs. No macbooks, no money from me, ever.

I like the overall look (and the black bezel is nice too), but its waaaay too glossy... And, I'd like a laptop to have a mouse button. Tapping is nice, but I prefer actually clicking.

Probably fake, considering what looks like a horrible use of the smudge tool in the second pic, on the corner of the lid.... X_x

Great catch, now we know for sure this is A TOTAL FAKE!

Im a pro photographer and I actually prefer the glossy screen. Of course, I have my system set up in an area that does not cause reflections.

I'm guessing you've never tried to calibrate the damned things. Move your head an inch in any direction and you'd need to do it again.

Just wondering, do you make a lot of prints? I like the way photos look onscreen with glossy screens, but it's an unrealistic representation of your work if you ever decide to print it. It'll never end up as saturated without just looking crappy. Glossy screens have the same effect as stained glass with a light behind it.

ok guys....here is why this is a FAKE laptop..

Everyone has tried to show how it is fake by stating that the left side is bigger than the right and all such. Well that can be explained. The movement of the camera when he was taking the shot. Duh.

BUT how do you explain the "o" dropping lower than the rest of the word "MacBook Pro"

If you look at the name on the bottom of the bezel real closely, you see that it is indeed "falling off" the rest of the name

For all you bitching about not being matte...
We have ONE spy shot! ONE!

There could very well be a matte option, but we have to wait and see

kthxbia

Yeah.. but it's our birthright to overreact, find the nearest mob and light the torches and gather pitchforks it's the American way! :D

Tired of Horrible Photos

I know this has been said a million times but why can't someone use a decent camera. They have a $2,000 laptop in front of them and they can find something a bit more high tech than .0000001 Mega Pixel camera from 1997. Come on folks, please, for the love of all of us crazy Mac lovers, please use at least a 2 MP camera. No cell phones either.

And one more thing.

FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS. What are you thinking...

You can see infinite loop in the top left corner of that last one.

The first picture seems pretty legit to me (I know, it was edited with photoshop, but that was probably just to add the text onto the image)

If this 15" Maccrook "Pro" is all they update tomorrow I hope they boo Steve Bobs off the stage. I was only waiting for a macbook update for their "$800" macbook. This is only to find out it won't even have firewire. Now they aren't even going to update the Macbook. IMO, Apple should get out of the computer business and stick to toys/phones.

Slow exposure caused a trail. Had iPhone metadata in it with GPS coords to a nearby Cupertino building. It's real.

It's supposed to be an iPhone camera. What's the MP on those?

Where's the power button?

No Mouse button, that's fine, but how do I turn the thing on lol.

Epic EPIC fail if they make glossy standard, I don't know who Apple is talking to and what crowd likes that damned glossy screen.

88% of all laptops sold have glossy screens where a choice is given to users.
