I think the <3 JR basically confirms it to be fake.
You forgot about this:

Image of issues I posted earlier.
Also note if the top and bottom edges are to be curved, the bottom should be concave out rather than in.
That was a photoshop mockup created by MacX.CN

If I'm not mistaken...?
For those doubting that it's a MB, not a MBP, read the label on the screen. It says "Macbook Pro"!
That said it is suspicious that the side doesn't have the express card slot, as the earlier spy shot did.
looks to me like that would be the macbook and not the pro. I mean I'm not professional but with the keyboard being like that of the current macbook (spaced out) it seems like that would fit.
Just my 2 cents
I'm sure, everyone I know has a matte finish.
Question then, why in the world did Apple abolish matte on the iMacs?!? I had never heard of ANYONE ordering a glossy iMac before that, everyone got matte on those as well. My model is the last one before this change & soooo glad I got it.![]()
I work in an apple store buddy and let me tell ya.....we sell waaaaayyyyyy more matte screens than glossy...
You forgot about this:![]()
Not sure if anyone noticed this, but the bottom picture is a MacBook Pro.
The top is NOT because it is lacking a Firewire 800 port on the side, as the top one does have one.
So the "mystery port" cannot be a Expresscard Slot.
I've never had to use the trackpad buttons on a laptop if there was a double-tap function available. You can double-tap faster than you can double-click.
With glossy screen, I don't see how that's going to stop you from doing your work unless you have constant reflection ALL the time, which I highly doubt. Even if you do have reflection, I'm sure it will go away by changing the angle of the screen a tad. When I had the MBA, the glossy screen was the last of my worries.
I don't understand your point?
The top picture directly correlates with the bottom. It shows how the person who has forged together this second picture for engadget has basically just flipped the image around, smudged out the large card slot hole and taped over portion.
There's a FireWire 800 port in both photos.
The Magsafe is a bit vague/poor on the forged engadget image, because it was out of shot on the bottom photo that was used in construction of the forgery!
