Although I am not even close to be a professional of photography, I do work with images. I am surprised that with so many professionals here, people are still discussing this pictures. Something I learned very fast is that ou can not get information from a picture that is not in the picture. You can zoom in as much as you want or do any treatments, but resolution is resolution and quality is quality.
Obviously, this pictures were taken with a cell phone with a really bad camera (an iPhone, maybe) and the guy was afraid of getting caught and nervous and his hands were all shaky. If you look closer, there is something different in the top right corner that MAY BE the on/off button. But you have to understand that it is probably the same color than the surrounding aluminum and the picture is really bad. The same applies to the trackpad. Conclusion: we don't know if there is a trackpad or a power button from this picture, but I don't see anything that makes me think it is fake.
Changing subject, assuming this is real, I don't really see how to make a matte screen out of this panel. The glass seems to cover even the bezel, like in iMac. Can you make it all matte? Can you leave the glass in the bezel but make it matte in the display proper?
Nobody has pointed out that the screen is the OS X welcome screen that is done in a number of languages.

Are you serious? A thicker MBP for the first time ever! Yay for good dedicated graphics at last!
What a 1000th post!
EDIT: Night to all.
Update: Our source just hit us with another pic, this time from the side -- it's after the break. We're also told that there's not one, but two NVIDIA GPUs inside -- we're guessing an integrated / discrete setup like in the VAIO Z, but we'll find out for sure tomorrow.
Update 2: Our source just hit us again to say that it's two full-on NVIDIA GPUs -- sounds like a hybrid SLI setup to us, which is pretty wild. Wilder still, they say the MacBook and 17-inch MacBook Pro aren't getting refreshed tomorrow, which we find hard to believe, but we'll see when we see.
Exactly. My last 5 laptops had clickable trackpads, all disabled in preferences. I actually wouldn't mind it being implemented correctly, but in my history, they are just a not so minor annoyance. Even now with my Penryn MBP with Multitouch, still no tap to click. It will be interesting to see how I feel tomorrow, I usually have to have the lastest, but if they do end up looking like this, I will definitely have to spend some time with one before upgrading. But I guess Apple cannot innovate by adding more buttons, so elimation is innovation. We will find out shortly.I am sorry to say so, but I really hate clicking by tapping. On my old laptop, I keep clicking while I just accidentally drop my hand on the trachpad or so. Very annoying...
We'll see how they look in person. I think they don't look bad especially with 2 GPUs.Either way, I'm getting whatever they have for me tomorrow. I have been waiting far too long. When it comes down to it I am looking for performance. It is funny how most of you people complain about specs night and day and how macs are overpriced and under powered.
I don't get why you all are so hung up on what it looks like. Let's get under the hood before you start crying.

Glossy
In a few years, I feel myself carrying around a Mac Pro as a portable machine...
Now I understand why Jobs insists on keynotes and trying to keep things quiet...
Everyone is bitching and moaning about how ugly it is, but as soon as he unveils it tomorrow everyone will simultaneously ejaculate and squeal about how awesome and pretty it is.
Same thing happened with the 4G Nano![]()
Yeah, and since it has no power button, its moving the laptop line further into the future of absurdity.
Fake.
But unlike the Air’s, the MacBook Pro’s new trackpad is made of glass, and is a button itself. You just press and it clicks. This is not like the current software option where you can enable “Tap to Click” in the trackpad preferences, but instead a glass trackpad that acts as a physical button, with a click you can feel.
In short, seems to be arrogant enough to think that they know what EVERYONE wants, or just stupid enough to not try to hit all the markets they could.
