Wait, wut? Rumors on a rumors site? WTF? If you want factual news try... uh... yeah, somewhere else?

Thats... uh... yeah, what I've been saying from the start. I was telling the poster why I wouldn't put my trust in everything "arn" gives us as it is all hearsay.

What time will they announce the new updates? / when will they be available to order online? Just wondering approximates incase i should be waiting at the online store at 12 am. Thanks

Same questions here? What time (PST) do they usually update/announce on Apple's website / store?

I don't wanna wake up too early from excitement to find the same old iPhone ad.

Thunderbolt would make sense seeing as current Light peak implementations are based on copper.

If I had to bet on it, I'd bet that you're right. The name "Light Peak" has already gained some pre-release popularity, so it doesn't make sense that Apple wouldn't take advantage of that by using the same name, unless Apple's current implementation of it does not involve light.

I believe all Apple announcements are made 10AM Cupertino time.
Can anyone confirm?

Perhaps I've just had a long day, but, what the hell is a "thunderbolt" anyway? Isn't it a "lightningbolt"? Maybe I'm just not cool enough for this.

Perhaps but the way you've been posting makes it sound like everyone should stop rumor mongering and read a newspaper. This is MacRumors, we rumor monger and arn is our leader :D

this is thinking a little further ahead and sorry if this has been asked already but...

if Thunderbolt does indeed use the mini-display port does that mean that all MacBook Pro's that currently have mini-display port are now Thunderbolt compatible? ie. my April 2010 MPB 13".

Also, I recently picked up a 24" ACD from the refurb store. Once I plug that in to my MBP I've used up my Thunderbolt port and wouldn't be able to use a Thunderbolt enabled external drive. I'm assuming there would be some kind of adapter/splitter to turn the single port into 2 since the ACD doesn't have one? Or does that mean we could see a refresh of the cinema displays with USB ports and a Thunderbolt connector on the back (as someone else mentioned, use the monitor as the hub)? Hate to think I just bought an obsolete (me being dramatic) display!

Oh Apple, why do I do this to myself!

Thanks!

No, "arn" was nearly crying that I wasn't "trusting" in him and Macrumors. LOL- I'm sorry, but I don't put my trust in rumors- that would be why they are rumors and not hard facts. I love rumors, that's why I'm here, but when someone expects me to believe all rumors just because they say so, that's pushing it.

I don't "trust" rumors either but it's fun to dream and hey, sometimes they're right! Tomorrow will hopefully bring in some facts about all the new Macbook Pro's and if not, we'll be back rumoring it all up!

1. No, current MDP will not be Thunderbolt compatible.

2. You daisy chain devices together in order to attach more than 1 thing to the MDP/TBP port.

What about the larger trackpad rumor?

No, probably not.

User Onicon stated in another thread (where he posted pictures): "
The 13" MBP looks and feels just like the previous gen. (apart form the "ThunderBolt"). No bigger Trackpads, no renaming, battery capacity is the same as previous gen. as well. "

You guys wanted i5... now you got it... but you just lost the 320M video card.

considering the i5 is substantially better than the C2D and the loss of the 320m is only moderate to the HD3000.... it's a fair trade. The HD3000 say is like what ~8% worse on medium settings than the 320m?
yet if we compare the i5-520m found on the current base 15" which is probably just slightly better than the i5-SB here, it's probably what a 40% increase in performance over the p8600 C2D? So I'm betting the i5 2.3 will be at least 30-35% better than the p8600.. good trade off to me.

Either way is fun, but I was still hoping for a design change. I want my black Macbook Pro. Oh well :p

No crying. I just said that there is no point in trying to convince you if you don't trust me.

There are few things I say are "confirmed". In that case it's because I have as near direct knowledge of why I'm confirming. I think the only two things I've confirmed in the past 6 months is MBPs are due this Thursday. And these images are the real deal.

You seem to be confusing rumors from other sites from things I am personally confirming.
