thanks DrJohnny for those pictures.. Interesting, the screen LCD lines make it seem less likely of Photoshop, but I'm a PS noob that just does very minor editing. Anyway, glad to see some 15" love

I'm not saying that it is a fake but you can photoshop the image then use a camera and take a photo of the screen.

Whoa:

"Snapped a shot off of Apple's site when no one else was looking and only I got a screenshot" = certain fake. ;)

arn

Also, look at how the Thunderbolt icon is lower than the others and one of the two USB icons are missing.

Yeesh

I set up one of those new HP Envy laptops for a client at work the other day and it had one of the worst keyboards/touchpads I've ever used in over a decade of using laptop computers. Yeesh.

This could be interesting, it's the thunderbolt port I'm interested in.

.

this is my first time following some kinda release like this... apple always does that with its laptop releases??

and also what happened to the SSD dedicated OS, havent heard anything about it in recent new "rumors"...

Apple is more secretive than the CIA.

No additional news on the SSD dedicated OS.

Lightpeak but no SSD/redesign and for me a step back in graphics?

If this is no joke I will keep my toshiba business laptop...

But I still hope this is some well made fake!

What are you talking about when you say it's a step back in graphics??? The old 13.3" only has a dual core with 256 integrated vs. The new i5 with 384mb I mean I fail too see the "downgrade" you speak of here. And if this really does replace the white MacBook at $999 then you really have no argument at all sir

thats a great point...i'm a bad typist but I do best on any apple keyboard.

Am I the only one more intrigued by what a "FaceTime HD Camera" means? It could simply be a rebrand of the iSight, but I think that had already been done (and as "FaceTime Camera," sans "HD"). Does this mean the Macs will finally get a camera with a respectable resolution?

Really? because I tried my friends and actually commented on how it felt exactly like my macbooks just quieter.

ThunderBolt

Is it me or is the early adoption of ThunderBolt insane? With all that I have read it appears that this is a half step to the ultimate goal of LightPeak adoption. ThunderBolt is copper whereas LightPeak will be fiber once adopted. I see no backwards compatibility here unless I have missed something.
