MacBook Pro Update Due for Launch as Soon as Tomorrow?

Well, I've been waiting on the new MBP since early January to no avail. I also need a new lens for my photography. Waiting for apple, I've missed out on some good shots. If there's nothing new tomorrow, I'm buying the lens and then apple can wait until August to get my cash. Meh.

I was about to make a purchase of MBP 13 today and i get a call form the sales person giving me a warning as there might be a release of the new MBP i3,i5 n i7. As i was gonna pick up my 13"MBP in students offer i am now confused, I also got the news for the person from the sale is that apple usually does any launch on Wednesday may be Tuesday in US. So keeping fingures and hoping i do not get outdated with my MBP purchase now i sit and wait. Yes if apple do not do the release then i will loose 200$ as the students offer will expire. I am at a great confusion. So max i thought wait till this week and see and then do the purchase. And 1 main reason i feel the launch is now near is when i said to the Apple sales person no problem give me the MBP 13" it ok i will afford being outdated. the reply was that the MBP is now out of stock and i have to wait for a week or so. so lookin into all this i just have a hope of 90% that the new MBP if i series will be out in a day max 2days

Well one can use an OS "properly" if he doesn't have a preconception that it sux before he has even used it. All I wanted to point out is that Windows 7 is more problem-free when you compare it to Vista. Believe it or not but Windows actually *does stuff* for the majority of the computer using population out there.

And if you had read my post "properly" you'd have understood that even I prefer OSX to Windows. I hope I have made myself clear "properly".

Timuster I have Windows 7 on my work computer and so far have been surprised to find it just as bad as Vista. Please tell me what the things are that you have mentioned you find to be improvements. I would like to know what they are. Just an example or two would suffice. I'm having a hard time finding any of these things. And it feels so terribly slow when you are used to using OS X machine (even though it's a Nehalem (i7) Xeon with 12GB RAM and Quadro FX3800 graphics!) :(

I'm not considering a iPad but I will buy a new mbp the second it is released.

of this month and i am from india and this was the talk with the Apple Store Sales Personal today. They had asked me to wait as they have got some intimation regarding the new MBP. So i was given a choice to either wait or purchase the existing MBP and that too will take a week as the whole country is is running out of stock. This clearly states the new MBP is just a day or two to be launch being optimistic abot it.

Well I did tweak some settings to make 7 work for me. For example I use Advanced System Care Pro to keep my registry clean and for other maintenance stuff.

As for its comparison with Vista, I feel its faster and it has been much more stable. Hardware compatibility has been improved. Vista gave me some serious issues with a couple of stuff but Windows 7 makes them work flawlessly. Now we all know that OSX is the winner when it comes to easy compatibility but Windows 7 is definitely smoother than Vista. Moreover Windows 7 feels more light on my system resources.... I really have no idea why its working slow for you with that kind of configuration but it surely does the job for me. I also find the gesture controls useful that have been introduced in 7.

I do pray caz when its tuesday there its wednesday here amd if we see the launch of all apple products almost most of them its been a wednesday here as told to me by the Apple store people. Yet do not know what will be the cost as for the cost in india for the existing 13" MBP its 2000$ and after discount for the students its 1750$ so what will it be for the new MBP is a big ???????????

dude i know sometimes the gut feeling sucks but to tell u the fact its this feeling which make Apple crazy geeks like us have more enthu. Thats why Apple is Apple not like the common other Laptops. If u see they have launched the i3 i5 n i7 way before Apple did in their laptops but we still keep sticking on to Apple as each 1 of us here in this forum know the juice is worth the squeeze from APPLE

My opinion: buy the lens first. They don't depreciate as much as laptops. By delaying purchasing a new laptop, you're saving money.

Sweety u got to calculate the time as its tuesday in US or wednesday in US as what i think u need wait a day more and its same here in India

Allright then...to morrow or never. I REALLY hope it will come tomorrow cause I don't think that I'm going to hold any longer.

Get ur camcorder ready tomorrow to take a video of u unboxing the MBP and upload in the Youtube

u talk about all day i have been in the web in reg with Apple all days this week at home at my office in my car guess i will nex go crazy if it dosnt. But lookin at the brighter said i need wait for a month for the product to come to my hands as they will start shipping it later next month to India. I hope its not the same in ur country

hey buddy then its better u tell hime to get it from there because in india the product if its officially launched anf for it to be shipped will take a month as what was told to me by the chick in the Apple store
