Just like my phone I like to protect it the second it gets out of the box. Trackpad cover and keyboard cover prevent grease stains. Not sure if any are even out. Can I ask why you may want one?

Keep an eye on the keyboard cover resting against the screen when closed. This happened to me and permanently damaged the screen. Not sure the risk is worth it for this expensive new display.Just like my phone I like to protect it the second it gets out of the box. Trackpad cover and keyboard cover prevent grease stains.
I’d recommend getting a screen protector but not anything for the keyboard or the trackpad. Especially not the trackpad.Just like my phone I like to protect it the second it gets out of the box. Trackpad cover and keyboard cover prevent grease stains.
Mine finally got updated!I’m in the same boat as you with the 10/26-11/2 range. Let me know if you see any progress!
I definitely don’t want a screen protector that might ruin the visual beauty of my screen. I don’t think that they are needed for laptops when it is not a touch-screen.I’d recommend getting a screen protector but not anything for the keyboard or the trackpad. Especially not the trackpad.

What kind of protector would you want for the trackpad and why?QUESTION:
Anyone find any good trackpad or keyboard protectors for the 14”? Can’t seem to find any on Amazon.
keyboard protectors are not a wise thing to use. they tend to not be safe for your mac.QUESTION:

I have a friend who is a DJ and his keyboard protector saved his 2013 MBP at least a gazillion times. He's only using it when playing live though.keyboard protectors are not a wise thing to use. they tend to not be safe for your mac.
It’s easier to clean the dust and smudges of the screen with a protector but to each their own. And it’s not gonna change the look of your screen as long as you don’t use a matte.I definitely don’t want a screen protector that might ruin the visual beauty of my screen. So did mine, except I literally changed my shipping address two hours ago thinking it wasn't going to get here before my trip on the 28th ? and now it is too late to change it back ???
Yup, apple counts on air circulation through and around the keyboard for thermal control. That's also why running in clamshell mode isn't recommended.keyboard protectors are not a wise thing to use. they tend to not be safe for your mac.
The negative air pressure should not be an issue in clamshell mode, I do not think is any official recommendation against this either? Even less so for these models since they have vents on the bottom sides and intake air from the top middle.Yup, apple counts on air circulation through and around the keyboard for thermal control. Welcome into the community! And thank you for the analysis and news you share with the worldA goat? no, but that's me
That's not really going to retain value - all reseller conditions care about is that the keyboard and trackpad are functional. Thanks for your input everyone on the keyboard and trackpad protector. I also do it to retain the value if I sell in the future…as I just did my M1 Air. I guess it will help me not trade this in and keep it long term…which I should do because I shouldn’t keep spending this money!
Yes, I did this on Tuesday, I have Nov 10-17 and after they changed it, they were able to identify that my order is originating from the U.S. I'm not expecting it to deliver earlier than Nov 10, but the express should mean I get it next day after shipment.Anyone successfully get their order changed to express? I have a late date 11-18th but they're saying it can't be changed.
