Very nice! Hopefully once all of us get our UPS scans we can all leave China behind together. It’s a possibility you might get on board. It just varies. Keep us postedNo movement on my UPS tonight, looking forward to something soon I hope. Just hanging out in Shanghai still. I was able to get a confirmed delivery window for it on Tuesday though - 12pm-2pm instead of "Arrives by 7pm" and the original estimated delivery time was 3:45pm-5:45pm.
Lol @TheYayAreaLiving I was typing as you posted that. Great minds think alike.
Same situation.Anyone that has an oct 26th delivery for a base model but still nothing on UPS?
Same and no movement from Apple. Still processing...Anyone that has an oct 26th delivery for a base model but still nothing on UPS?
16” Pro Max / 64Gb / 1TB with Nov 3-5 delivery estimate just went Preparing to Ship. US East Coast.
I’m a base buyer too ?♀️Preordered the 16” base model, scheduled to arrive on 29th. More than enough for my needs.
Did anyone else order the base model, or is everyone here Max/64Gb/2Tb? ?
We’re in the same boat. ??My MBP 16" with Nov 2-9 still in "Order in Progress". Hoping it gets shipped earlier
Very nice! Are you a pilot?A day filled with Airplanes. Somewhere between landing in Lafayette LA at 3:30 CST and making it to my client site at 5pm my 16 Max / 64GB / 2TB hit PTS.
As you can see its original window was November 3-5
Ordered about 15 mins after the store was open due to the site being glitchy.
Based in CA.
Will share shipping information when I receive it.
Wave two. Hope this means sooner things for us and those after us!

I have been told I at times used to fly more hours than pilots during my busy season (pre covid)Very nice! Are you a pilot?
Wow! Sounds pretty interesting. 👏I have been told I at times used to fly more hours than pilots during my busy season (pre covid)
I keynote and feature speak at education technology conferences. As someone who mainly makes their living at large conferences it's a wonderful feeling to be back in front of educators and not stuck in a little video screen like I have been since March 2020 (like so many other people).
Probably will not end up on the road like I used to ever again due to people getting more used to the online option. I think smaller groups will sometimes opt for online presentations. However. Larger conferences are itching to get back and slowly dip their toes back into the waters and I will probably cry happy tears when I wear a conference badge again and see an audience.
Side track shout out to all of the educators who are working their rumps off and have been and some in the process falling in love with technology so much so that they are now attending EdTech conferences. I think I will be seeing a lot of new people and I cannot wait to meet them.
Also the fact that the pre-order dropped right after the event was real panik. I almost wanted to sleep in and skip the event, glad I didn'tThis definitely feels different than an iPhone launch. Probably because it’s a Tuesday and not a Friday lol
Sadly none. This is the first time I have hyper watched a hardware product in ages. Even when I got my 2016 MBP I was dealing with some family loss at the time. So, I am quite green in that camp and apologies I cannot help the cause.Any insights on our UPS scans?
Sounds painful, happy you're here experiencing the launch with us. I hear horror stories about the quality of 2016-2021 MacBook Pros. I'm upgrading from a late 2013 so I skipped the whole awkward phase. I went all in on this machine (32C GPU, 32GB RAM, 2TB SSD) and I plan on starting tons of creative work, I can't wait. Pre-Apple Silicon models were a slog that was holding us back.Sadly none. This is the first time I have hyper watched a hardware product in ages. Even when I got my 2016 MBP I was dealing with some family loss at the time. So, I am quite green in that camp and apologies I cannot help the cause.
I did twice call the MacBook a PowerBook while talking on the phone with a friend today ? Maybe it's because it reminds me of my last PowerBook.
I do not want to thread drift, but I know we are all unique individuals and the last 5 years of MBP releases worked for some of us. For me this MBP has been the crankiest portable I have ever had from Apple. I had Flexgate before it was called that to the point the bottom of my screen shattered at the cable (sorry I was not around to share that. Would have probably helped but I do have the gnarly photos) and the ports would get so loose. I would be presenting with a multiport connect which would shimmy off disconnecting the projector in front of oodles of people. It got to where I would need to tape it down and if you are moving room to room for each presentation it's a pain. The number of dongles I carry and number of times I have run out of ports to present was frustrating. My current MBP has seen a new keyboard, screen, logic board and keyboard. It's tough to get those things swapped when you are (were) on the road around 200 days a year. I am a clean freak who tries to take care of their gear but when you are often portable with a portable even my careful care was not enough.
I think its the reason I am Christmas like kid right now. I use my MBP so much and I miss how versatile previous models were. If I can get back to that I will be a happy kid. The speed and larger brighter monitor of what awaits is just icing on the cake for me.
