I think quite a few of us changed our minds and lost our launch date order. I think you are just seeing people moving up.
Thank you for your calming words. I’m beyond excited for the 14” so I’m nervous as hell, however, I learned one thing from my order: Apple prepares shipping very, very well and thoroughly
I don’t remember it being part of the order process unless I missed it in the preorder rush. Ultimately a couple of days doesn’t matter but I would rather get it asap.
Interesting, perhaps if you ordered immediately you get free shipping and launch delivery?
Actually I totally missed the announcement when they became available to order so I didn’t get to order my watch until the following Monday - 3 days later!
I was bummed because
1) I missed launch date delivery
and
2) My initial delivery estimate is right around the time I leave town in November
This was truly a pleasant surprise for me. I have NO idea when the watch will actually deliver but I’m a little more at ease now. 😊
My 16" M1 Max has a delivery date of nov 3-5th but it's already in Preparing to ship status. Anyone else's order getting moved.
I have to imagine it depends on where you live to ensure that it arrives by the 26th

Thank you! You are correct. It is well planned. Apple plans everything out way ahead of the time. As long you are promised a launch delivery date it will be deliver on that day 99% sure. It would be nice to see some sort of a tracking number.Thank you for your calming words. Any non-US orders have any form of tracking showing above orders being PFS?

Also, any non-US order showing any form of tracking information via UPS? How does overnight delivery works for you, folks?
Mine is scheduled for delivery on Oct 26th. It's departed Narita and the charge on my credit card went from pending to processed. Apple still shows it as preparing to ship. Mine is "Standard Delivery" according to the Apple ordering page.

!For things like stock items and iPhone launch day deliveries, the stock is already in the UK and then dispatches from a central hub (Syncreon logistics). Those items become trackable once they are dispatched from there via national services (DPD or DHL).
BTO devices for me have historically shipped direct from factory to door via UPS so I’m assuming mine will be in that category this year!
There is the possibility that given the volume of the BTO devices coming out the factory currently, apple could easily send those pallets to these national distribution hubs and send from there. That might account for long PFS and in my case the card not being charged!
Or I could give up trying to second guess apple and go enjoy the weekend
Personally, my experience was different with my 2017 space gray mbp. My silver iPad slid off a pillow and onto my mbp that was right next to it (it did not fall down onto it) and removed some of the anodization. No dent or scratch, just this mark where the color was removed. This time I just went with a silver mbp to avoid this. Perhaps it landed harder than I thought I saw, but it definitely didn’t land with any great force. I knew I should have kept the iPad in its case lol

I also had no option to choose a preferred shipping method, I got lucky and got express shipping. Maybe because I ordered with EDU discount?
You are too funny, but I do understand. ☺️ I just got back from turning in my M1 at the Apple store in preparation… Ordered the 16” 1tb w/trade-in of the Mini and applied the GC balance. Delivery date is 11/23-12/1 which I’m fine with since I still have my Mini for work/school.
Now that I’ve actually have taken steps, I am EXCITED!!! ?? I guess that it’s a good thing that @LFC2020 isn’t allowed in this thread anymore??? as it might further entice him to pull the trigger ?.

My 10:58a PT (1:58p ET) is still preparing to ship. Hasn’t left. But I also have a Nov 3-5 window still.
Yay! Congratulation!!! You are going to love it. I know this year is expensive but it’s worth it in the long run. So, happy for you!! How come you didn’t want till Tuesday to see if they will carry them in stores?

Unfortunately, we are all in this same situation 😩
I was talking to the reps when I went into the store this morning, and they told me that they get very little stock in at launch—iPhones/AW/iPads, etc. I figured that I would go ahead and place the order and then stalk like crazy come Monday night, Tuesday morning until I find what I ordered. If I do find anything, I’ll cancel my pre-order.
I’ve never been so desperate for someone to take thousands of dollars from me. PLEASE, Apple just take my money already!
