You’re just looking at it wrong 😆LMAO!!! when are you picking up your beast?
120hz isn't as good as on the iPhone and iPad, safari is still blurry. 🤔🤨 maybe a software update is needed?
LOL at @LFC2020 M1 💻 RIP! He sure did say good bye today.
Maybe he is not scrolling fast enough? You’re just looking at it wrong 😆
same for meI got royally ****ed in the arse by Apple.... Ordered pickup only to get a call back from the Apple Store during the MIDDLE OF DRIVING to tell me that there was a "glitch" in the system and that I can't pickup my order and I have place a new order.
Sure no problem I guess, I cancel my order immediately to place a new order, only to find out that all the M1 Max is OUT OF STOCK for pick up and the earliest delivery is December..... Excuse my french but are you f**king kidding me. Never felt so disappointed and angry at Apple in a long time. ?
Does anyone know if the M1 Max will have more stock available for pickup on the 2nd launch day (tomorrow) or do I actually have to wait until December for delivery now? If more stock comes in, do they prioritise for delivery or is the new stock specially for Apple Store pick up? I'm basically wondering if I should place a new delivery order ASAP for december or if I should check stock levels on the Apple website everyday to see if one is available..
Man that blows, you should try talking to a manager at that location.. you'd think they would be able to hold you a unit to fix their "glitch".I got royally ****ed in the arse by Apple.... Oof. Another deal breaker for meFrom John Gruber's review:
Damn that sucks, which Apple store did you order from and what time did you choose for pickup?same for me
just my local apple store in the mall... I chose pickup tomorrow, it got delayed, but stock in my area is still in the last time I checkedDamn that sucks, which Apple store did you order from and what time did you choose for pickup?

Idk maybe I should have asked to speak to a manger but I didn't want to sound like a Karen on the phone and thought I'd suck it up. Didn't think I'd be stuck with a December delivery date... I'm hoping there's more stock available for pick up tomorrow. There's heap of M1 Pro stock available but M1 Max seems to be in short supply, there's none in stock in every Apple Store around me.Man that blows, you should try talking to a manager at that location.. you'd think they would be able to hold you a unit to fix their "glitch".
regarding ordering, yes it can't hurt to place an order now and cancel later as there's no charge until you ship... but still, that store should be making it up to you somehow...

What do you mean delayed? When the Apple store called me, they told me to cancel my order because it can't be fulfilled. Didn't even say anything about a delay, just straight up cancel.just my local apple store in the mall... I chose pickup tomorrow, it got delayed, but stock in my area is still in the last time I checked
I thought the same, is it better to trade it in at the store? I assumed if it's at the store the credit is issued on the spot.Use caution on trade-ins and DEFINTELY take pictures. And make sure your pictures are time stamped of the day of shipping. Apple doesn’t handle trade-ins themselves. This is through a contract with a company called Phobio. They’re a company with a HORRIBLE reputation. I traded in my 2011 iMac 2 years ago, and they sent me the box. My iMac was in pristine condition. I used their box and packed it like I was instructed. Sent it to them and a few days pass, and they send me a revised quote to accept for less than half of my originally quoted value from Apple (Apple originally offered me like 240$ for it, Phobio sent me a revised offer of like $50). The reason, they cited extensive damage to the chassis and corners of the iMac. I demanded photo proof, which they would not provide, so I demanded a return of my iMac. Upon getting it back, it was completely destroyed. Corners of the iMac were smashed in, stand was damaged, chin was gouged - like it fell off a table - this couldn’t have happened in the box during shipping.
I reached out to Apple & the Better Business Bureau. Phobio has asked to be delisted from the BBB website multiple times. They refused to address the issue, and denied that they damaged my computer. BBB reported to me that I am one of thousands of consumers with complaints against them, but they refuse to recognize the BBB rating, and have asked to not be listed. I made sure Apple was well aware of what was happening, and wrote emails to executive relations, Tim Cook directly and others with pictures of the damage, and more. I wanted them to know what their trade in partner was doing to customers. Apple worked with me, and I ended up with someone in Executive relations who made things right, and refunded some recent purchases to help make up for the complete loss on my end.
I’ve traded in iPhones/iPads before, and as I understand it, these too go to Phobio. Those have been incident free. But I’ll only sell computers privately anymore. And I document the physical shape of my devices thoroughly before I ship them.

Oh then your situation is completely different from mine, my pick up got cancelled..nononono my delivery was delayed

I’d go one further than pictures and take a “boxing video” showing the computer being placed in the packaging.Use caution on trade-ins and DEFINTELY take pictures. She’s a beast, literally.
Nice comparison. I love the bigger display. What’s there to get used too? Bigger screen… more content to see. Open up your eyes @LFC2020
