What size screen MacBook Pro (2021) did you order?

Great stuff! Base model and then base model with upgraded ram is what’s going to be on the line 🥶
Lol, base model is over kill, but if you feel like getting your flex on, you can always order another machine with extra ram to test it out, honestly, you won’t be able to tell the difference between 16gb & 32gb ram.

You mainly use your Mac for safari and entertainment?

Or do you push it hard from time to time?

99% is for safari. YouTube videos. That’s pretty much it. Life is boring in vegas lol. No more grad college is that’s a relief I’m not spending hours and hours on writing papers or saving big presentations.

@LFC2020 you should test out which Mac config you are shooting for?
Already know which one 😁 since my base model M1 MacBook Pro hasn’t missed a beat, it’ll be another 16” base model this year, getting a nice little upgrade with 16gb ram and a bigger 512gb hard drive, to much power for me.

Main reason I’m getting it, is for the bigger screen. 😁

So if u order a base model whatever Apple offers. It’s not going to be delayed and you are promised launch date delivered? None of that Apple Watch or iPhone 13 delayed crap?

Even the base model is overkill for your usage, I use mine exactly the same as you, save your money and enjoy the base model for 6-7 years easily.

Sounds like you already need another holiday 😂

WORD 👊 get in quick, order that BEAST of a base model machine, you’ll have it on launch day.
Thanks for the tip. I’ll order base model right away and another one with extra ram. One of them is being returned 😂 oh well! Apple is taking my hard earned money so I need to make sure I get what I paid for. Tim Cook has plenty of money anyways. He’s set for next 100 years. I don’t know why he’s still working.

I loved my base model MBA! Then in August I was relieved of that possession. I didn’t argue very much, knowing I’d soon be ordering the MBP14 😁 I did quite a bit of editing of RAW full frame DSLR photos with my MBA and it was perfect. That’s about as hard as I worked the CPU. I do some multi-track audio mixing and editing, but that’s not very taxing.

But that won’t stop me from ordering way more capability than I need. 🤠

When you make as much as Tim Apple makes, there is a higher calling, aka, an objective or a significant mark or milestone that you want to leave on the world before you retire.

Steve Jobs put it eloquently when he recruited John Scully from Pepsi Co all those years ago..."Do you want to sell sugar water for the rest of your life or come with me and change the world?"

Think you should get the 32gb ram model as well, or your OCD won’t let you rest. 😂

Even though I can guarantee you that you don’t need it lol.

It’s called greed, the more you have, the more you want, he should’ve retired along time ago, put his feet up & enjoy holiday after holiday after holiday. 😁

What milestone is he trying to reach. We know he didn’t end up going to the space like Elon musk or Jeff bezoz. I wonder what Tim Cook dreams are and what he’s trying to achieve. What milestone is he trying to reach now.

So maybe a maxed out model 1TB with 32GB ram and 1 normal base model. Oh God, I feel bad for my Apple Card. 😂

Oh looked at the graph wrong 😂 512gb is still plenty I reckon.

I'm not too sure. I'm in the same boat myself:

However, I still play it safe and want to back up my iPhone to my Mac. Since I'm on the iPhone 11 Pro at 256GB, I haven't been able to take an initial backup of my iPhone because I'm using 142GB on my iPhone as is. The space needed for backing up my iPhone is more than half the size of my Mac. Bringing that into a new model and getting 512GB, That single backup is already roughly 25% of the total space of a 512GB Mac...

Ouch.

I'm personally hoping they have a 1TB/8GB or 1TB/16GB option, as that would be the sweet spot for me.

BL.

Agree, they are awesome machines, the base model took me by surprise, never got warm, dead silent, 24/7 responsiveness, best of all, that amazing battery life.

Had it for a year now, has never slowed down or given me any headaches.

Well, he did say or is on record saying that he would like to make a mark with social justice issues, which Apple, under his leadership, has been making a mark on...

Are you telling me you have never seen that spinning wheel?
