How often does Apple refresh these things? I don’t wanna get one now only for it to be outdated after a year

Anyone know if the wireless Apple magic keyboard has the same typing feel as the magic keyboards on the Macbook Pro?

Edit: Probably not the right thread for this question but I really like the typing feel of these new Macbooks and want to get a similar keyboard for when I'm at my desk.

I have a 13" M1 MacBook Pro with the Magic Keyboard, and also a wireless Magic Keyboard with my 2021 24" iMac, and yes, they feel very similar to type on. I love them both to bits.

Is it possible for you to purchase in person from an Apple store? I would do that if I was in that situation otherwise I would wait as your current device presumably lasted this long already and waiting another 2-3 weeks wouldn't be detrimental.

Is there an Apple store near you? I would try to make a pickup order there and get the discount today in the store. There seems to be a lot of stock, only the 16" 32 core GPU is not available in my case.

I do have a local Apple Store. I checked the store availability at around 2am PST, and it showed "Not available."

When I woke up this morning, I checked again... and they had my configuration in stock! I quickly placed an order for courier delivery, and it should be here between 1pm and 3pm. So excited!

Omg I need help. My config just became available at my store. Does anyone with an Apple Card know if the amount available on my card will become available again as soon as I cancel my order that is using Apple Card installment?

I cancelled an iMac pre-order (ordered on AppleCard with installment plan) to pick one up in store instead, and the cancelled order took a couple of business days to fall off the card.

Is the UPS My Choice feature "follow my delivery" working for anyone today? Usually I can sign in to ups.com and see where the driver with my package is on a map. But for my new MBP today, the only details I can find is "out for delivery."

This is the first UPS delivery for quite some time where the Follow My Delivery (aka Stalk My Driver) feature was not an option for me.

Don’t think like that. Every iteration is going to be refreshed yearly or every two years. Get what works for you now—or not if you cannot justify it.

On 5 bars brightness the screen is very dim, once you go above 5 bars ??✋☀️

Think I might be being picky, I'm not really amazed by this display, at lower brightness, it doesn't look as good as my previous little beast. ?

Can someone else who has the big boy test this, my OCD is kicking in again. ?‍♂️?

Give yourself a few days to adjust and the computer to adjust. You JUST got it. We all have to play around with the settings until we find settings that we are happy with. If after a few days you still are not satisfied, see if you can do a swap.

Am I the only one who has their MBP in hand but hasn't been charged yet? The initial auth fell off the day after I ordered and there's still no charge or authorization on my card. Their systems must be backed up. Doubt I'm getting this thing for free.

For those of us with a 5:11am FedEx scan in Japan (Osaka), I am pretty sure that we just took off with FDX 90 to Memphis, as the scan time lines up exactly with the departure time of the flight (and the 1:11am scan time lined up with the 1:11am departure of the previous leg of FDX 90 from Shanghai to Osaka). So we should be in the U.S. in about 11 hours.
