I think this is the holiday season right? So extended return period? I know Amazon/Best Buy has it right now.
I started to check for the bigger storage this morning and it’s not looking good - it’s not looking good for that polishing cloth either. Oh well. I may upgrade sooner than 5 years… who knows. I really don’t do a ton of heavy work that’ll eat up too much SSD storage. I utilize the cloud now more than I ever have in the last couple of years so that should help.
I’m going to see if my work PC gives me better options. The odd thing about the polishing cloth is every time I looked it up on one of my devices it never gave me the option for in-store pick up… But yesterday on my work computer it was the only time I’ve ever seen that option. Once I was home and decided I could go to the mall today and tried to order the option was gone. I think I’m just being overly hopeful. They must’ve sold out as people picked up the new MBP’s. It’s highly possible.
I skipped a bunch of it and only lost about a minute but it was worth it. LOL 😂
Ugh, you’re going to tempt me to buy skins for the MBP. I never even applied them to my iPad’s keyboard so maybe I’ll get a case instead.
@LFC2020 if I ever do get around to applying the skins I swear I’ll show you. For now, they’ve just been stored at my office. Sorry it’s taking me so long….
I think they stopped allowing people to order the Polishing Clothes for pick up. I ordered a couple yesterday and picked them up but today it tells me that Apple store pickup is unavailable. I can still see lots of MBPs available for pick up in standard configs, though none of the Pro Max.
Ahhh, keep trying. Hopefully you will snag one.
Oh yeah! I heard the return holiday was extended not sure if MacBook qualifies. Can some one confirm please?

My Nov 5-10 order (14" Pro 10/16, 32GB) just advanced to "Preparing to ship"! Getting closer!

However, the estimated date has disappeared and the tracking log shows repeated messages.
Possibly affected by the UPS “mechanical failure” issues. Whatever those may be.
Weirdly, ive already been issued my apple care expiring on Oct 27. Seems a bit goofy to me, but whats 5 days.

Yup. My AppleCare started today yet my 14" MBP is in limbo in Shanghai with no estimated date of delivery. Apple knows when something is delivered. It should start the AppleCare period upon delivery.
The Apple Shop app says my computer is coming on Nov. 2 but Fedex shipping says it's coming on Friday. I don't know who to trust!
Fingers crossed UPS doesn’t screw me over again today.
according to apple those are "manufactured to order" or BTO, not standard apple store units & usually take some time.

Yea, I feel like if all the other failed changes didn't happen at the same time as the touch bar, it would have had a better chance. It got lumped in with the odd design decision of no escape key, and the huge failure of scissor keys.
