What size screen MacBook Pro (2021) did you order?

For those still waiting due to being stuck in China purgatory, have hope - as soon as it leaves China, UPS hauls ass. I got my Macbook Pro pretty much 24 hours after it left ZhangZhou. In 24 hours it went from ZhangZhou --> Korea --> Alaska --> Kentucky --> California --> Delivered.

I can't remember, did you order and receive or are you still waiting for delivery and when is it expected to arrive? Or, did you have an ISPU? Which model?

Correct! The key is to get out of China. The whole custom clearance process from
custom and border protection delays the whole shipping process.

Data point for those tradiing in their old Macs to Apple:
Had an extremely positive/as-expected experience with the trade-in process. I ordered my 14" M1 Max on the 18th, and received it along with the trade-in kit on 11/3 (Apple had an estimated 11/5-11/10 delivery window). I received a $620 offer for my 2016 15" Touchbar MBP, and had the service warning for my battery, and with the saturated market of MBPs out there (seriously, how does ANYONE sell one on Marketplace or Offerup without taking a major hit), trade-in seemed the best way to get rid of it.
The trade-in kit came with a bubble-wrapped baggy to put accessories in-- don't fall for it. The trade-in never asked for the charger or cable so I tossed the baggie out. Wiped my MBP as suggested, and took off my carbon fiber vinyl. Also took a bunch of pictures just in case, after reading all the horror stories.
Sent off my MBP on 11/5, Apple received it (enroute to Elk Grove/Returns facility) on 11/8, and I got my trade-in credit (refunded to my Apple credit balance) on 11/10. SUPER quick turnaround, and no horror stories to tell.

The 14" M1 Max is a beast-- I still have an M1Air that I'm debating on keeping or selling. I'm leaning on keeping it as the ultimate travel notebook and not lugging around a 3K machine. Honestly, if the M1Air had native capability to drive two monitors I could have probably done without the Pro, but oh well!

I generally keep a eye on ordering estimates, local inventory of popular products to determine changes for local pickup. For the new MBPs once we got past the first weekend after availability in stores that has been a very rare instance with 2021 MBPs. I did score a silver 16” M1 Max 32GB/1TB couple of days ago finally. I debated ordering but prefer rolling the dice recently. Locally it’s very slim pickings close to Apples campuses unless you order. Even today I only see 2-3 14” in stock.

Awesome! #Team16”. 😁🤩 Congratulations!!! 🥳

I had originally placed a pre-order, but because I ordered late due to problems with the Veteran's site, my estimated delivery dates were further out. On the day of launch, I was able to find my configuration at my local Apple store and opted for couriered delivery.

The further out from launch, you are right, the availability is scarce. I hope that you are enjoying your new MBP.

(Don’t know why this photo is not rotating) Apple store screen cleaning setup…no Polishing Cloths in store, and a couple of store employees seemed to not even know what I was asking for. The shame! Was trying to help a friend do ISPU for an AW7 - but none in stock either. I didn’t play with the M1 Pro MBPs for fear of wanting a 2nd one.

Saw Sting at his Residency concert at Caesar’s, got a nice run in along the Strip...lots of tasty drinks and food. Even some good luck ? at the ? ! I have tomorrow and Sunday to read all the fantastic pages I’ve missed! Happy weekend all - and I hope all our MBPs ship/deliver soon.

Lol the sleeve that I ordered are handmade. If Amazon was selling them… trust me I would have purchased it from there long time ago.
