Thank you! Solid confirmation right there and much appreciated. Feel loads better about everything. Add it's on a truck for delivery today as of 9:30am!

Your's delivers today, too? Congrats and enjoy!
Edit (10:14PST) - I just caught your post about "Quarantine" of the box...ha ha... all good. Well, Happy Unboxing to both of us and every else getting deliveries today! ?

AWESOME let me know when it arrives and if its OK..I got mine from Deliver-It delivery service, had never heard of them but the delivery was perfect no issues..have not opened the box yet, been a hectic week no time to do it..but when I do most likely today I am going to take video of me opening the box so that just in case any funny business is going on inside the box I have documentation of it.
Mine came from
Shipping Manager..13053 san bernardino ave suite 100 fontana CA
I assume that is an apple warehouse
I was told that I can apply the 3 percent cash back on the actual order itself to deduct from the final price..like any kind of cash back, since I wont be buying anything from apple in a while I figured I can just use the cash back on the total amount I think its around 41 bucks or so will call apple card to ask them how exactly to do it

I ordered a 14" (24/64gb/1TB/Korean Keyboard) on Nov 12. Expected delivery is still mid Jan. I think the 24 core and the 64gb is what is wrecking it.

I ordered my 16" M1 Max 10c/24c/64gb/2tb MBP on 10/25 and received it yesterday (12/2). My original estimate was Dec 9-16.
I’m in the US.

My Space Gray 16” M1 Max fully loaded CPU and GPU with 64GB Memory and 4TB SSD was ordered on the 26th of October.

The initial ship date was a week before January.

Within two weeks it changed to December 9-16th.

Today it updated to December 13-20.

I’ve seen some people say after the date gets extended it then ships soon after. But some have reported the opposite.

I just find it crazy how your order was the day before for practically the same configuration. At least when configuring a new machine now the 64 GB memory is still the biggest culprit for delays which we both got.

Curious to say the least when one day apart and mine got pushed back.

I also went to online apple store and configured a 16 inch Mac with everything but 64Gb memory and it ships 2 days later then my order from the 26th of October.

Definitely confused at this point why the push back on dates when orders the day before have already been shipped to others.

First world issues but I have some time now to actually dive in with the new max that I won’t have in a few weeks.

Well I ordered my 14" on Oct 1. I got my tracking number on November 19, it shipped on November 25, and was finally delivered. A few benchmarks and a Final Cut edit sold me on it. My M1 13"MBP trade in was dropped off to UPS today. The screen is awesome and my 14" was both faster and cooler with little to no fan noise compared to my M1 MBP.

MEMPHIS FEDEX UPDATE
My package has been stuck in Memphis over a week. I finally called today and they assured me it wasn’t lost, but that they needed to open a case and start a trace on the package. They said a specialist will be contacting me.

So, no hope! Hopefully no one else runs into this problem!

I tried calling but the person said they couldn't do a trace. First in one department they said I had to wait 72 hours after original? the delivery estimate. Second person was some other department. They assured me that the customs release was part of a palette of 200 that cleared yesterday and they were sure of its status. Now in International shipment release - Import. One a few days ago and then twice yesterday.

Wow. I'm glad mine didn't go through Memphis. I was stunned when I got an out for delivery notice a day early for mine yesterday because I only received a notification that my package landed in Cincinnati at 7am. 5 hours later in San Jose, I get an out for delivery notification which I at first assumed had to be an error until I checked online.
Mine made it to Cincy but is on Customs Hold. Ugh

Most of big delays have had SSD larger than 2TB. My M1 Max 64GB shipped but it was a 2TB model.

Ordered 16" 1TB 32GB M1 Pro on November 26 (Educational Store)

Today moved into Preparing for Ship

Date given: Arrives December 15-22

In-store purchase 11/11/21
Card charged 11/26/21
DHL is the carrier
11/26/21 "shipment picked up"
And that's the end.
Chatted with bot at DHL and then a person. DHL human: "many, many, many, many items are sitting in China"
Called Apple. "We'll look into it and it will take us 2-3 business days to do so". Me: We can skip that step because I've already talked with the carrier and the package hasn't left China." Apple employees are very good at staying on script and message. And I'm getting excellent at feeling frustrated. My reality is that my screen failed on my 2019 MBP 13" (Flexgate frustration) and the $650 repair tag helped me to decide to purchase a new MBP at what seems to be a premium price, and I have been without since this all started in October. Thanks for listening. I feel better. LOL

I ordered Space Gray too. Looks like we're in the same boat. Pass a paddle, please.
**Update** 12/3/21.
O.M.G. Is it coincidence that when I summitted yesterday in frustration, that today when I check for movement, not only has the item moved from Shanghai, but has traveled to San Francisco and onto Sacramento in less than 24 hours??!! I was seriously going to pull the plug on this transaction yesterday. Cooler heads prevailed. There is hope and hope for movement, ya'll. Pink Martini: "Hang In There, Little Tomato!"

Yeah mine was like that too. It was a snail that got struck by lightning and then burst into warp speed.

Return stock, looks like you’re getting a lightly used one plus it says the service is next day air.
What? Return Stock? Getting lightly used one??? Why spread such nonsense here? Why would Apple sell "used returned" ones in educational store? Apple would never sell returned computer as new.

Order the 14" base model on November 11, today status change to shipped, delivery estimate for December 6.

Exactly and its in fact illegal to ship someone a used device when they paid for new. Apple would NEVER do that. If you buy new, you get new, period end of story

Most of big delays have had SSD larger than 2TB. My M1 Max 64GB shipped but it was a 2TB model.
Yeah the weird thing was when I went online today selecting 512GB or 2TB SSD or 4TB SSD had no impact on estimated dates. Of course they may have not updated the online estimates for new orders but that was what was curious.

There have been actual lawsuits about people getting refurbs for AppleCare+ replacements.

There is no way in hell Apple would give someone who bought new a refurb. No way.

Yeah I can understand an actual replacement I know that apple tells you that they will send you a "Certified" product but thats after the 14 day period for return/exchange has ended..but actually shipping someone who ordered a brand new item, to get a refurb, absolutely impossible. I know when I would buy apple products from best buy Id always call apple when I received it to make sure it was brand new before I opened it and I will be doing the same here..confirming that the serial # is for a brand new macbook pro

i agree

Anybody know of a good, solid (semi-portable), high wattage, fast charging power bank for the MacBook Pro?

I know, lots of modifiers there.

Mine finally showed up today! Haven't opened it yet - have to wait til work hours are done so I have time to focus oni t.

The most frustrating part throughout the process was lack of updates on the package and just invalid "your Delivery will be done on X" from Fedex. Including the whole package process below for other's reference.
Order was placed on November 8th.
Spec: 14" M1 pro 10/16/32GB/4TB
Original delivery window was later in December, but updated to Dec 9 - 16 a week after ordering.
My package was in Shanghai for several days, but at least tracking showed up each day to show that. once it hit Memphis all bets were off and there weren't many status updates. The original delivery day (Dec 1) came and went and Fedex just updated to Dec 2 as the next delivery date, without any actual proof that it would make it.
It moved to a nearby Hub yesterday and didn't make it to the Local fedex until this morning, but was actually delivered today. I met Fedex at the door, but the tracking showed it didn't require a signature and I think they would have just left it. Once it made the close by regional hub, this morning it said it estimated a particular window 10am-1pm; but Delivery date was "pending" (talk about confusing).

I ordered my macbook pro 14 from apple education too, they do NOT send you a refurbished/used one..they have a separate online store for that, if you ordered a new one you get a new one..that is why today when I open up mine I am going to call apple to verify that mine is brand new, by the serial # and that its sealed. I also live in LA mine came from the apple warehouse in San Bernardino came via Deliver-It service
In fact I just went to the apple store refurbished site(Its a whole separate site) and they dont even have the 2021 model available as a refurb)
It's a new one, you don't have to worry. They're doing more and more bulk shipments of common configurations to their regional warehouses and shipping from there. Trying to supply both Apple Stores and still cover local domestic orders when they can match them up. Contrary to what we're seeing with people going insane in this thread as they wait, Apple is making great improvements to their supply of these new MBPs. And those talking about return resale or b-stock are just spreading FUD.

I preordered/backed the new 245w Hyper GaN charger (along with the battery pack as well) that should be shipping soon-ish. Generally, I don’t support projects on Indiegogo/Kickstarter but Hyper has a good history of shipping the products that you back.

I just got a blurb from a company I work with for my wife's home-based business, and they use FDX for shipping. From what they say:

As we continue to progress through the Holiday Peak Season for shipping, FedEx has advised that many of their hubs in various local areas are experiencing extremely higher volumes than anticipated. This coupled with extreme labor shortages is causing delays in delivery to all service levels.
While potential delays are anticipated across the board, we have been notified of specific shipping hubs that are affected more severely than others. Delays are expected to last through the end of the year. Please see the affected hubs below:
Allentown, PA
Anchorage, AK
Buffalo, NY
Casper, WY
Denver, CO
Des Moines, IA
Fargo, ND
Harrisburg, PA
Huntsville, AL
Louisville, KY
Lubbock, TX
Newark, NJ
Oakland, CA
Portland, ME
Portland, OR
Reno, NV
Richmond, VA
Seattle, WA
Spokane, WA
Tuscon, AZ
Take these shipping delays into consideration as you plan your shipping needs.

So labor shortages and the holiday season are causing havoc with shipping. It doesn't explain any delay in Memphis, though, including the customs scan issues.. but for those that have FDX for their shipping, this could be the reason why, especially if the bulk of their flights also fly through Anchorage.
