Yeah, I was thrown for a loop when I got that response to my post.

MBP delivered at 12:48 PST - flawless. No doubt in my mind it's 100% Fresh/New. All is well - Hope you open up yours soon and enjoy the new machine. We did a fresh install for the new MBP, so not really migrating much other than iCloud photos and e-mails. Cheers!

Good luck, too, on applying the Apple Cash back to the card. I'm really interested to hear if you succeed. Might be a new refund thing I do on future purchases. For now, I use the Apple Cash rewards and it's like getting free stuff when you pay with it - since it's money that you had already spent.

The most frustrating part throughout the process was lack of updates on the package and just invalid "your Delivery will be done on X" from Fedex. Including the whole package process below for other's reference.
Order was placed on November 8th.
Spec: 14" M1 pro 10/16/32GB/4TB
Original delivery window was later in December, but updated to Dec 9 - 16 a week after ordering.
My package was in Shanghai for several days, but at least tracking showed up each day to show that. once it hit Memphis all bets were off and there weren't many status updates. The original delivery day (Dec 1) came and went and Fedex just updated to Dec 2 as the next delivery date, without any actual proof that it would make it.
It moved to a nearby Hub yesterday and didn't make it to the Local fedex until this morning, but was actually delivered today. I met Fedex at the door, but the tracking showed it didn't require one and I think they would have just left it. Once it made the close by regional hub, this morning it said it estimated a particular window 10am-1pm; but Delivery date was "pending" (talk about confusing).

Congratulations! The tracking is all over the place. I'm glad it's here, delivered. Can't wait till you post pictures of it :) Woo hoo!

Thanks! What is the mah? This seems overkill wattage! Lol. Delivery before Christmas?
 
Welp, after trading in my 16" MacBook Pro for $1200, I paid the $700 difference and got the base model 14" MacBook Pro.

Was it a need? No. Was it necessary? No. Was it superfluous? Absolutely.

Merry Christmas to me. Been working a crap ton of OT and with my year-end bonus coming... why the hell not?!

My wife's 14" M1 Pro base model replaced her M1 MBA, she's never gotten the battery to where she had to charge the computer to continue using it. She recently took it out of town without her MagSafe, and never got close to needing it. Her MBA was so good she only rarely had to plug it in, but the Pro is almost never less than half charged.

My 16" M1 Max has been amazing in every way! My previous Intel 16" MBP would be too hot to touch within minutes of booting, fans often running full blast while no apps were open, battery depleted most times in less than two hours. The Max still shows 14:00 (14 hours!!!) of battery after using it for several hours! I've only done serious FCP editing on battery for brief periods as I prefer to edit while plugged into my two 32" displays, so I've yet to see how long it'll go while video editing. Based on the time on battery it predicts I'd be able to charge it every couple of days and is consistently a few degrees warmer than room temp. My best chair is in front of my dual displays and that's where i usually end up, on MagSafe with big screens.

First time MBP buyer. When are cards usually charged? Week before shipping?

For me it was 2/3 days before shipping

It’s possible… while they may not deliver on the weekends, that doesn’t mean that they still don’t ship or keep packages in transit over the weekend.

If the flight leaves in the morning on Saturday, it could make Memphis or Louisville by Saturday afternoon, get scanned in, scan out Sunday morning for the flight to NY, get scanned in at the distribution center to make it onto a truck for delivery Monday.

It’s possible.

Mine was a 11/5 order with a delivery date of 11/30-12/07. Charge appeared on 12/1 and the MBP delivered today, 12/3. I think it's more like the card is charged the week of shipping.

The 245W is split between 4 ports. Max for one port is 100W, which is still plenty for the 16” MBP, however you won’t get the super fast charging that you would with the adapter included with your MBP. But it’s great for traveling/on the go so you can have one item to charge many of your devices. The way you can divide the power is in the pic below:
