What size screen MacBook Pro (2021) did you order?

Nope we’re in the same boat dude 🤙🏼😁 more than enough power for me personally
I’m in this boat too. This machine is still too much of a beast for me.

Can anyone recommend a third party app or place to sell an iPad?
If this thing is all that I hope for I need to figure out my best resale options.

if I sell the iPad I’ll be able to keep the watch on order.

With Christmas around the bend it’s difficult for me to justify the splurging on MYSELF.

Normally I use Ebay and Kijiji.

I love all the reactions here. Pre-order threads have been so much fun. I was a launch day receiver of many iPhones and have tracked with y'all.

Its been a few years since I've had a personal laptop. I carry a company-issued 2018 15" MBP (2.2Ghz/6c i7/32GB/1TB) but my personal daily driver is a 2019 27" iMac (3.7Ghz/6c i5/40GB/1TB). My last personal laptop was a 2015 Unibody Retina MBP (base model). I've long wanted to go smaller with my next notebook, but didn't want to sacrifice performance of the larger models just to be more portable. I love this about the 2021 MBP so much.

My checklist was nearly completely nailed in this week's event. I wanted the following:
- M1 variant (this was a given)
- 32/64GB memory options
- Magsafe
- More ports (primarily more than 2 TB ports), HDMI is a bonus, SDXC may get used, but infrequently.
- True 2x Retina display with HDR
- 120Hz (I honestly thought this was just a dream - I was stoked to see ProMotion make it)
- Touch Bar gone (I could've gone either way on this, I don't hate it, but I find it rather annoying and gimmicky)
- New industrial design (it was time)
- Ethernet on power brick (the only thing I didn't get)

My order was placed 1:58pm Eastern, and I'm in a Nov 3-5 delivery window. I'm going to be at the beach on a family vacation that week, so I'm really hoping to get bumped into next week with the 10/26 folks. My cart originally stated 10/26, but realized I had accidentally selected Space Gray, and wanted Silver. In that short timeframe, 10/26 slipped from reach.

My config as ordered:
2021 14" MacBook Pro - Silver
- 32GB unified memory
- Apple M1 Pro with 10-core CPU, 16-core GPU, 16-core Neural Engine
- Backlit Magic Keyboard with Touch ID - US English
- 96W USB-C Power Adapter
- Three Thunderbolt 4 ports, HDMI port, SDXC card slot, MagSafe 3 port
- Accessory Kit
- 14-inch Liquid Retina XDR display
- 1TB SSD storage

I'm incredibly excited for this. I generally buy once, with the expectation of devices lasting 4-6 years. My longest standing Mac was the 2011 27" iMac which I had for 8 years before replacing with the 2019 model. My 2015 MBP I had for 4 years, before selling last year because I wasn't using it after the shift to work from home.

Lets hope those of us in the 1st week of November get lucky and shift into next week! I've got some friends staying at the house watching the dogs while we're at the beach, but I'd really love to have my new toy AT the beach!

I'm still in the Nov 5 to Nov 10th delivery window. My config:

  • 64GB unified memory
  • 96W USB-C Power Adapter
  • 1TB SSD storage
  • Apple M1 Max with 10-core CPU, 32-core GPU, 16-core Neural Engine
  • Silver
  • 14-inch Liquid Retina XDR display
I am slightly nervous about going with the 14" instead of the 16" but even my 15" was too big and heavy for my back with as much commuting on foot as I do. And since I also got an iMac last year for home use, I feel like the smaller footprint is better. I'm also excited Apple is finally giving us a machine with the same capability in a smaller footprint. Typically the smaller MacBook Pro has no graphics power (which is really what I need for the applications I use). So it will be interesting to see how this machine stacks up against my 2020 iMac (spec's in my sig), because that machine has been absolutely wonderful.

Very excited to use this machine, and honestly, this may be a little sappy, but its real, I'm also just excited to actually have work outside the home office again that justified this purchase.

Does anyone have any idea when review models will be delivered to influencers? I know you can't trust their sellout opinions, but I wanna see these beasts from new angles while I wait for mine to arrive!

From 14 to 16 inch, have to wait a month but m1 MacBook Pro could last another month. I only have the laptop so I should probably get the biggest screen. 13 inch is nice but I always could go bigger. Any cons for 16 inch?

This thread is basically what keeps me sane while waiting for my base 16" MacBook to arrive. The current estimate is Nov 3 - 8. I wonder if anyone with similar estimate got their confirmation earlier than expected. I still hope that by some magic I'll get the Mac by the end of next week.
You'll be fine lol. I didn't even get around to ordering my 16 Max yet. At this point who knows when mine would get here.

Good morning everyone!

I just woke up. It is October 20th, 2021 at 6:26AM. It’s a Wednesday. Ahh, looks like no one got the UPS Origin scan. Tracking number has not been assigned as of yet! But not to worry. Hopefully later today it will show up. There is only 5 days left and Apple needs to ship our lovely 💻 from China. China is also one day ahead of U.S. If you see your tracking number has been assigned. Please report it here, ASAP. Be on the look out!

I hope everyone is going to have a wonderful day today!

Glad, you are here with us. Don’t forget to post pictures of the beach. Would love to see what kinda view you have. :)

Make sure you delete this before @TheYayAreaLiving wakes up lol.

You can always get the 14” MacBook Pro then trade it in or sell it once the mini comes out.

Who knows you might end up liking the 14” MacBook Pro more than the mini.
I don’t think the mini is coming out till next year 😂 let @beach bum upgrade her 💻 I have a feeling she is going to love it.

Also, based on the poll. The 14” 💻 is winning. Most popular Mac so far?

Is there anyway I can get rid of that notch? 🤔
SMH, you changing the script again. You cared more about the 120Hz pro-motion then the notch. The notch isn’t even a big deal anymore lol it’s just in a Apple ecosystem design. Software wise… I’m pretty sure Apple will release a pitch black menu bar to hide the notch. It’s an easy fix for people like you.

Breaking news… Guess what! Your iPhone 13 Pro Max 128GB has a notch… your iPhone 12 that you were using had a notch. You have been dealing with it and you have been just fine. 👀

The notch is here to stay!

Not like he had eyebrows anyway.

Need a little help. What's the best specs if I want to use this computer for gaming, as well as family video editing?
