It seems that if you download the latest version, the tool will download the latest Mojave beta 4, so you will recreate again an updated USB Mojave Patcher Installer.
After done booting from USB, you should be able to re-install the latest Mojave beta 4 on your HDD doing an in-place upgrade, so you should not lose your personal datas.
Believe, there is no big difference between download a version upgrade or an entire installer.
For example if I recall the upgrade for beta 4 was about 3 gb in pkg, the full installer should be 5 gb in pkg.
