Personally I don't like much contrast in light mode, but I suggest accustom in dark mode since everything is much better.

Anyway after increased contrast in light mode, if too contrast bother you, maybe you could try to play with Color Calibration in System Preferences / Display -> Color -> Calibrate
to create the right tone for your sight.

Provided that you're using the CoreBrightness patch and so have the "Night Shift" mode pane available in Display's Pref, enabling it too you could combine both the features (with Color Calibrate) obtaining an amazing very customizable tonality.

Or you could just enable Reduce Transparency to fix the menu bar.

Maybe those script need an update, but if look at this link: http://dosdude1.com/mojave/
It seems that if you download the latest version, the tool will download the latest Mojave beta 4, so you will recreate again an updated USB Mojave Patcher Installer.

After done booting from USB, you should be able to re-install the latest Mojave beta 4 on your HDD doing an in-place upgrade, so you should not lose your personal datas.

Believe, there is no big difference between download a version upgrade or an entire installer.
For example if I recall the upgrade for beta 4 was about 3 gb in pkg, the full installer should be 5 gb in pkg.

Hey guys

Running MacBook 5,2

Can’t get iSight to work. Did everything as described in page 136 here

Public beta 4

I also am not able to change the brightness but I can control volume with my keys. Changing brightness doesn’t work via System Prefs either

go to your applications/utilities folder find the patch updater check to see if you have the one for the iSight patch and update

I did, didn’t work

the kexts I posted on page 136 I used the kextutilty when you use the kext utility it will do permissions and a few other things when it said have a good day(night) I started with the the family kexts (2) but one at a time then the other 3 one at a time when it was finished I rebooted with my macOS Mojave patcher I did a posy install just to be safe but you might just try force rebuild caches

i beg to differ. 2 gb of data is a lot. i doubt the upgrade can do the standalone installation. so there IS a difference. i stand to be corrected, of course

Infact, I was suggesting Loyd-01a that is better to download an entire standalone pkg than a simple upgrade package. Agree 2 gb are a lot but a full installer standalone pkg is much more useful.

Probably my English is broken, will attempt a fix.

edit:
For instance in a combo update you can jump ex. from 10.13 (build 17A365 sept 2017) to 10.13.6 (build 17G65 July 2018), from Darwin kernel 17.0.0 to 17.7.0, in only 2,49 GB of dmg/pkg (highly compressed of course)
so it is not so far from a standalone installation, as every single Mojave beta upgrades.

nothing wrong with your english, please. what my experience had been was that the standalone pkg was more useful... reinstall and all that. we do agree.

Changing topic, I am still waiting for someone explain me how to edit a com.apple.appstore.plist to disable "Video autoplay" on Mojave beta 4 new App Store, without opening it first or without doing from app preferences.

I think you have to open the App Store, then open ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.appstore.plist in TextEdit and change “VideoAutoplay” (I’m not sure if that name is correct.) from YES to NO.

To me that doesn't worked, but I think it's not feasible. Hope to be contradicted.

Instead of tilde I already pointed for /Users/username/

For the 3,1 isn't the card the Apple Broadcom BCM94360CD?

Thats what I put in my 3,1 and it works great. Seems like if you are going to go through the effort might as well get AC and BT 4.0
