A google/reddit search will find it easily and that's part of what causes problems on Discord. Some people there hate that experienced OCLP non-devs can access and then post about it. If the non-release is supposed to be so secret, they should secure it better in the first place. The whole attitude to beta testing/bug reporting is odd, as if it is resented. Having been a fruit company beta tester for more than a decade, I don't understand this attitude that some people bring to Discord, so I am out.

Why would you not let other test it as well, why don't you care? Nowadays, people always look for something to complain about ...I don't get it , is this a queue, why secrecy.

The idea was to assemble a few here manually, test them (i.e. with some of our office Mac Pro systems) and then batch order fully assembled PCBs from our asian vendor for possibly good low prices...
What I could consider is to expand the "beta test" phase to a few external interested users.
(To really sell the manually populated PCBs would require too costly prices - it requires around 30 min. to solder all parts).
Sounds like you have encrypted your drive and have to enter user pwd first, then machine boots?
So that would not be the login screen, but the startup screen?
If so: What you could do is boot in verbose mode and see what and when the boot progress turns sour (black screen).
If not (encrypted): Try booting in safe mode. Perhaps some auto-starting app or tool fires back after login?
Do you have access to another Mac right now?

The devs are against sharing the nightly links in public, and also generally don't want people to use them unless they absolutely know what they are getting into. They may make some changes that's not in the changelog yet and will break people's machine, the devs don't want to deal with that.
We know that NOW, but that's not the issue (and I have not seen people sharing either). It's the rudeness and aggression to people using them. If devs don't want inquisitive people pushing the envelope using nightlies that are easily found, don't put them up.
Or establish an actual beta bug report protocol.

Did you upgrade the ram and swap the HDD for an SSD?
if not, That is where you should start. Your machine will be very fast after you do that, if everything else is working properly.
Hi, its got a 120gb ssd, and 8gigs of dual channel 1067mhz memory, so its pretty much maxed out

I couldn’t boot in safe mode cuz it went black again
so I booted in verbose mode but I have zero idea what should I look for

Just one question, as I cannot try it out in my region yet: I have a MacbookPro13,1 upgraded to Ventura, works fine. Will I be able to use Advanced Data Protection in the future without removing it from my Apple ID or does that only work with officially supported devices? Cheers!
Do have a wired keyboard connected?
If you do have one, you can boot up in Safe mode by holding down the shift key (I think either one will work) immediately after you hit the Restart button. Do not wait for that black screen.
Normally, when the computer starts up in Safe mode, it will show a screen with box where you input your admin users password. So if you still get that Black screen you can try inputting your password and hit the Enter key.
Not sure this will work but it is worth a try. Staring up in Safe mode can fix a variety of issues. Of course it won't fix everything!
Long story short, I upgraded my MacBookPro 9,1 and MacPro 5,1 and all went well on MBP, but cMP 5,1 I can only SSH, no video, so stupid me read on _________ that AMD RX 6600 worked natively with OCLP and Ventiura so I rushed and ordered 2 for my MacPro 4,1 and MacPro 5,1 machines. I then found a post that you have to update VBIOS? Or will OCLP take care of all of that? If not, what are good recommendations to get it working? Also, I've read that there are BT issues? What about USB per-se? I upgraded my Wi-Fi with a BCM94360CD which upgraded my stock BT to the built-in on the Wi-Fi adapter. Will my BCM94360CD's BT work out of the box? Any other issues I should be aware of?

13.2 rc went fine even on MacBook Pro mid 2014 even with broken screen using a VNC viewer didn’t have any issues. oclp Ventura support I’m assuming these older models mean you can enable end to end encryption in full? which otherwise wouldn’t be supported on Monterey and earlier os?
The Mac is an iMac 10,1.
As I explained perhaps 1 or 2 pages ago, the only reason I've installed Catalina via the Patcher (DosDude1) is because HR Block just this year has made 10.15.7 the minimum to run their tax program. My default platform, High Sierra 10.13.6 (supported) is still working quite well, and I have no desire to move off that, not at least until I get a new Mac of some kind.
Still would very much like to have a backup, but my recent CCC backup (CCC 5) on an external drive completely corrupted the Catalina Data volume, making it necessary to do a complete Catalina reinstall, which I've only just finished. So not going to go that route again.
From what I can see, DU Restore doesn't seem to be the way to go either. I might contact Mike Bombich at some point and see what his thoughts are in this matter.
