macOS Sequoia 15.2 Beta Shows Weather in Menu Bar

I don't mean to be negative, but I don't see the point of this. If it still requires a click to show the forecast then how is it any different from the current feature? If I want to know the current weather then I can just look out the window, which is bound to be more reliable than asking a server somewhere else.

Quick glance to tell you most basic information. What’s the temperature and if it’s precipitating or not.

The thing you can find out by simply taking a look through the windows, but “wait SpongeBob, we have technology”

Seems redundant given the widgets bar is, like, right there… but seven(?) years later and I still can’t get in the habit of using that thing.

So relatable. It has never crossed my mind to open the widgets sidebar. I did use the old full screen dashboard. Can’t put my finger on it, but it seems so random and out of place.

I have the same issue with the widgets left of the first Home Screen on the iPhone.

Why not put it on the very right and part of the clock, kind of a "time and temp" together? Versus having it out in menu-land unrelated with anything else?

It's midnight. Pitch black, and anyway my curtains are closed.

I find it interesting now to know that it's 7°C outside. After a day or two I'll probably never look at it again, as if I really cared then I'd just bring in the notification centre which already has the weather widget in it.

But I have space in my menubar, and now it shows the temp. Why not. I just wish I could move it to be next to the date/time (i.e. to the right of the "control centre" icon -- I'd actually remove that icon if I could - never use it).

Wow, more junk added to the crowded and dysfunctional menu bar! What’s wrong with the other ways to have stuff like this shown? Desktop widgets? Widgets under notifications? Dashboard?

Weather in the menu bar isn't a bad idea, but I'm still bummed the calendar widget only allows me to see the current month. I would really like to be able to see past and future months like we could in the now defunct DashBoard.
