I've only lost one sweet 16 team so far (UConn), but I'm in trouble if Vandy can't get going here, I picked them as my surprise team in the Elite Eight.

SEC teams always disappoint me in the tournament (except for Florida the past two years because I picked them to win the whole thing). They just play crappy and choke in tournament time it seems.

I'm hurting with Miss St and Vandy, also had UConn going to the Sweet 16, oopps, had 19/24 going into this round, hope some of you are as dumb as me, maybe i will have a chance to be king of the dumb! (just kidding, many here have picked some great upsets, I was too blind to see)

believe me...i'm most likely going to be the king of dumb because I picked Arkansas to make a run to the Final Four. I'll probably have to sit back and watch UNC roll through to the championship game.

Lose a few win a few, as long as you have carrying teams go a long ways you can survive. I never do well the second day.

looks like I contain things to only being down 2 sweet 16-ers. so we go at it again Saturday.
I hated how UNC did. Blow outs like that build false security, they will now struggle against Ark. I had Indiana winning that game, but UNC does matchup better against Ark.
I had clemson winning, but losing to Vandy, so that won't matter much if they lose.
Any one messed with the scenario generator on the Yahool site, that thing is cool.

Update: Seedings of the next batch of eliminated schools:
4. UConn
4. Vanderbilt
5. Clemson
5. Drake
7. Gonzaga
8. Indiana
9. Oregon
10. Saint Mary's
10. South Alabama
11. Saint Joseph's
12. George Mason
14. Boise State
15. American
15. Austin Peay
15. UMBC
16. Mount St. Mary's
16. UT Arlington
The average of this batch is 10.35.

The average over all 32 eliminated teams is 11.19. As I mentioned before, the maximum possible average is 12.5. The actual value is smaller because of the losses by UConn, Vanderbilt, Clemson, Drake, USC, Gonzaga, BYU, and Indiana.

Based on seedings, 8 out of 32 games were upsets, so we're at an even 25%.

Come on West Virginia, close out strong!

[Edit] Yessss! Always a good day when Duke goes down.

duke is the braves of college basketball. expected to win it all, but haven't done much in the big stage.

glad duke is out, we should hear less of them, since they aren't that great.

At least now Mikey can nurse his flu without having to worry about a game to coach.:D
