On my iPad mini first gen old design looked much better and was more convenient, I now have to scrool much more, spaces and fonts are bigger it is not convinient.
Yeah, this new white/bright cornea-busting trend is getting the best of me. It reminds me of when Evernote released the current OSX version and I had to downgrade to be able to focus.Agreed. It's killing my eyes. Definitely needs some contrast. Way too much white. Please fix.
Well I need an avatar update![]()
iCloud Keychain has always worked on MacRumors so I don't know what you're talking about.Looks much better and seems like iCloud Keychain will finally work.
EDIT: Tested it and yes, iCloud Keychain finally works for saving accounts passwords on MacRumours! Good job.
And I thought Yosemite was ugly...
That Jony Idiot sickness has now spread to MacRumors...
Ditto. So much wasted and gratuitous white space. Ugh.
It all feels a bit too big, not sure if that's just me though! Although I do think it's about time the forums were updated!
agree completely. it helps a lot when judging what someone has said and deciding how obscure you can be when replying! One thing I wish you brought back was the member since date under their Macrumors name and number. It is sort of nice to see how long people have been around when reading what they have to say.
If you more carefully read through the complaints, you will discover that people are not just saying "I don't like marmite", they are all focusing on not the aesthetics per se, but the READABILITY! How has that to do with being conservative and not liking new stuff. It is just about how good something can be used. (In this case the new aesthetics go in hadn wih how things are readable, not because they have a fancy new colour, but because of such things like space)! Not surprised to see a lot of complaints here since most people on this forum are so conservative. Everything that changes is bad.
Me on the other hand like it a lot. Well needed and well done.
See the answer to the quote above.I appreciate the new design. But as a long time reader, I'm more impressed with the moral courage any kind of change to this forum requires. Let's be honest, MacRumors readers are a volatile bunch and who hasn't been impressed by the expressions of rage when iOS gets an updated font?
Still, it's a grand opportunity for all those people (you know who you are) whose eyes hurt/bleed whenever they see something just slightly new to let the world feel their pain.
Did I get an email notification? I must have missed it *rolleyes-smiling*MacRumors announced that it would be switching to XenForo over 7 months ago in November 2014.
See here: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/migrating-to-xenforo.1823418/
I think that is more than enough notice.

The lack of contrast is a real problem for some people too.for those saying it's too bright/big, we're look at some possible custom options for people. A few missing features are coming back, as well.
Well maybe that's a hint that you should be working instead of forum posting.Shame it doesn't work on some of the older browsers (work is slow to update)
