Yeah, perhaps a button or a link that would at least just quickly take you to the reply section at the bottom? No thread reply button at the top of the page? Have to scroll to the bottom to comment.

I feel that this would be beneficial and would like to offer a possible solution. How difficult would it be to add a button next to the "Watch thread" button at the top of the page, label the new button "Quick reply" and have that button take you directly to the reply area at the bottom of the page? This seems like it would be a simple solution.Yeah, perhaps a button or a link that would at least just quickly take you to the reply section at the bottom?
For those wondering, here's how the thread https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/is-yosemite-the-windows-vista-of-mac.1884310/ looked under vB.I'd love to see some side-by-side grabs of the same content in the old and new themes so we have something solid to refer to. As part of my design phase/process I'd have prepared such screens for the client, before any development work began.
… I think the problem appears exaggerated simply because …
Posts that are both focused (single-subject) and on-topic are more immediately likeable.

… Right now it doesn't look too bright here, but it's day time. Combined with the "flat" look and I think the site was a bit of a shock at first (kind of like Yosemite).
… It was a ghastly thing to awake to – Apple's operating system (not the visual appearance of the forum). …
It's useful if you start a post and get interrupted and need to leave the computer. You can come back later and the post will be saved in the posting box where you can finish your post and submit it.Draft Saved- When drafting a post, I've notice the little "draft saved" message which appears periodically as I type in the lower right of the reply box. I've seen this feature in other forums, but would like to know for MacRumors, how do you make use of that? And there is need for this for the iPad.

If the draft has been saved and you later decide you don't want to post the message you can delete the draft by clicking on the little "disk" icon in the tool bar and "delete draft".

That's something Arn said they're working on.Please add a way for users to filter out certain forums, like the Apple Watch forums, for example.
Thanks.
Here is an iPad issue I just noticed: while posting, using the box at the bottom of the page, if I tap a format button (e.g., I want italics), thereafter, the red top/bottom nav-arrow floater appears on the right as I type. Might not be a big deal but for the fact that it overlays text in the right side of the box.
Should we have a separate bug thread?

I've given the new look 5 days and I think it's fine. Any big transition is going to be polarizing for some, but I don't think it should be too hard to adjust to. I see refinements happening already and have a suggestion that I bet others have asked for as well. Can we get the search bar for Marketplace back? Or an option to refine searches to just certain categories?
Unless I'm missing something, it no longer provides the option to search all subscribed (watched) forums, which was a handy feature.
I didn't even realize that was a feature in vbUnless I'm missing something, it no longer provides the option to search all subscribed (watched) forums, which was a handy feature.
