Friday Night Puck went surprisingly well. I was very hydrated though, that was the difference between this week, and last week.

Ran another pb in the 5k this afternoon. PS, who is Paula Radcliffe?

see, i told ya you'd be alright. nothin to it :)

Paula Radcliffe is the holder of the fastest woman's marathon. :)

I slipped in my XC race, right leg just slid out wide from me as I went round a corner.. I felt it go. Paramedic said it was just a pulled muscle, probably the quad.. but its a bitch, I really needed to do well in that race. It's really pissed me off.

sorry to hear that. just take it easy until it gets better. just be careful

Around the 4.5k mark last night, my right foot fell asleep.
Anybody know what causes that? My shoe was not too tight.
I stopped and loosened it even more. I was really moving along until that happened. I had to run the last half km with a numb foot.
I've heard maybe it's caused by running with cold muscles. not sure though.
Any advice?

Thanks

not sure what to tell you. i've had a lot of problems, but i dont think i've had my foot fall asleep while running. i dunno

so do you have to do a '5k workout' on your nano for it to count for this challenge?

in the second half of my 9 mile run, i started a 5k workout to make sure i got at least something in the challenge....

I don't think so.

hey, at least ya'll are running in races.....the races i'm going to be in is either the mile, 1500, or 800 from here on out...

The races I'm running in are open to everyone - you probably have a ton of them in your area as well.

I missed this past Saturday's run :( My wife was sick and I couldn't disappear for a couple hours in the morning....

I have another one on Feb 2nd, though. Then I'll have to wait a couple months before I get another one in Indiana.

i know they're open to everyone, but i'm in track season, so road races would affect my training.....

sorry to hear about you wife....hope she gets better :)

good luck on your next race

See, that's what you get for performing too well, too early. Now people just expect these numbers from you. :p

On the flipside.......I just hurt my left leg badly playing footie and will probably not be running for.....I'm guessing 10 days. :(

yep that's right next month we will be expecting better numbers from him :D

they are all impressive miles from everyone :)

You make sure that leg is better for the Feb events ;)

SO Far this month - we have run well over 870 Miles as of this post !

i think this a great effort from everybody - and with about 8 day's left to go as well - we are going to push well past that 1000 Miles mark.

870 miles would take you from London, UK to the Outskirts of Rome,Italy ( as the crow fly's)
Or New York City to Saint Louis USA

Nike+ & Mac OS X Security Update 2007-001

Just installed the Mac OS X Security Update 2007-001.

Is it just me, or do these running shoes seem a little snappier?

well you and Dukestreet give your selfs a pat on the back as you two account for 1/4 of the distance:D

I haven't run this much in years and I even said I'd not run 6 miles again but did it the other night :D

I don't know how long I'll be able to keep it up, especially when I get back to Indiana, though. Being in Florida for a couple months of nice weather has made a huge difference.

Good to see everyone keeping at it.

Ran my first 2-miler last night...and both miles were faster than my fastest so far this year, so I'm pretty happy about that. I just need 4 and some change to reach my goal of 20 miles this month. I'm pretty sure I can pull that off. :)
