The Quarter-Finals are behind us and another four teams have raided the duty free ahead of the long trip home. But rather than multipacks of cigarettes and giant toblerones our attention is focused on the table...

Moyank 24 still leads, but the gap at the top has been slashed as we enter the fifth and final round. Can she hold off the other challengers for one last week and clinch the title?

One thing she won't be getting her hands on though is the Team of the Round Award. As with the first week, we have two teams level on points – with 67 apiece the trophy is shared by Sporting Takao and my own Sporting Car Flags.

Get rid of the white sleeves and pinstripes and this kit moves up on my list.

IMHO, All of them are as good or better than what most real teams wear.

now the trick is to guess who goes to the final so you get double score with those players...
The towel-toting one is correct – our choices for the final round will prove to be very important.

The round covers the semi-finals and the final itself, and as there's no third-place play-off (unlike in the World Cup) it means that of the four teams remaining two teams will play two matches, the other two just one. As such, there's the potential for the players we pick to score points twice over.

Do we go for the favourites Spain and Germany then, but risk leaving our teams short of players should Italy and/or Portugal pull off an upset in the semis? That's the tricky choice we have to make.

Aw, shucks.

Each of the shirts is actually based on one worn during this year's tournament, with the colours changed and the odd tweak or two – so mine for example is based on England's blue away shirt whilst Moyank24's is the Ireland home, with the collar changed to a crew neck (I know from our kit discussions that US folk tend not to like flappy collars on football shirts ;)).

One the tournament is over, I'll post up the full set.

i'll have to win the last day then, soi get a set as well.., ;)

Don't panic,

Italy v Portugal to cause Fantasy Football carnage. :D

Also a problem with forwards; could pick them from one game to guarantee a front man for the final, but will Klose start one, both, none, and will Spain play a striker?

Good luck.

Cheers,
OW

Moyank24,

takao is the sage re Germany. Maybe the same starting 11 v Greece, if they think they'll have to break a defensive team. But, best to seek guidance from the wise one.

Cheers,
OW

no way! the rest of my picks are italians :)
forza azzurri! :D

well i'm hoping that the italians will break their streak of winning against the germans 7 times at tournaments ...

for the german squad though i went with klose up front , they simply were way more fluent ... but it could equally be Gomez

edit: for the wide players, the decision remains open for Löw si i suspect it's gonna be a decision between Podolski+ Müller, Reus + Müller, Poldoksi + Reus... which was the reason why i went with spanish players ;)

Nearly Fizzoid; that meddling Jaffa Cake!:)

Oranje - Limburg and Pinstripe City are in a good position with 6 and 5 from Spain.

Seems most are piling into Germany, so Don't panic's route it is. :D Maybe the woodwork will play for the other side tonight. :)

Cheers,
OW
