You know, after seeing that pic I'm seeing the iPhone nano angle now. Basically a sripped down iPhone that's just a phone + ipod. No internet, no app store. Basically what you get your parents who just want to make calls. Also with the less strain on the battery and the smaller screen, they can make it with a smaller battery and really thin. And pave the way for an iTablet or iNetbook this fall.

I could see that too. Also just a simple picture viewer and camera on it. The screen would still be bigger than most mobile phones. Basically everything that an ipod classic is but with a bigger screen and phone. Which is funny because that's what many people thought the iphone would be back in 2005-06.

I'm very skeptical of an iPhone nano. Maybe later in the year, but the evidence at the moment doesn't seem big enough to me.

As has been said, they won't announce an update to the Mac Pro. If anything they'd announce it at the WWDC wouldn't they..? The original Mac Pro was launched at WWDC '06...

Oh and yes, the white banners ARE from apple...

In case everyone forgot... SNOW Leopard will have a few moments in the spot light that day...

Look at the white banner - it's a banner for MacWorld and has jack to do with Apple themselves. It's an advert / signage for the conference - NOT for Apple or their products. Unless you're talking about the covered banner...

Even the small talk will be big!!! ...introducing the Iphone Nano

Exclusive pics :D

But the original PowerMac G5 was announced at MacWorld San Francisco.

The timing really isn't dependent on a consumer expo/developer conference thing. It's all based on Intel's release schedule, and, as you said (well, I said...), the chips don't even exist yet.

I don't think there will be any sort of tablet interface anytime soon. I think the announcements will be limited to revised iMacs, revised Mac Minis, and notes regarding Snow Leopard. I hope that I am wrong for the sake of excitement. :D

Okay, i'm a little lost so forgive me for being slow.

But... why does everybody think they're going to announce an 'iphone nano'?

Personally I think it would be retarded if they come out with something like that. Especially when the prices of iphones are already cheap and will probably be cheaper soon. Not only that, but who wants a watered down iphone?

iPhone is something like 500 euros here, that's not cheap. And the biggest problem is that I cannot choose my mobile operator.
I DO want a watered down iPhone.

I personally would love to see something like this.

Right idea, wrong implementation. Apple should add a true haptic-response touchscreen with the ability to type out messages in landscape mode in their third-generation iPhone. Do that and they could right there take away a huge amount of sales now going to the Blackberry and Palm Treo smartphones. :)

I wonder when Apple will reveal their banners...

I'm excited for the Mac Mini, and I would be excited if they came out with a watered down iPhone that either slid or flipped to reveal a QWERTY keyboard with real buttons. I'd buy that in a heartbeat. I hate touchscreen keyboards...

After the keynote... like they always do...

And there will be no iPhone with a physical keyboard, so you'll need to buy something else or get used to a touchscreen.

I wasn't sure how well I'd warm to the iPhone's touchscreen but to be honest even after a few months ownership, I don't think I'd want to go back to a tiny little 'physical' keyboard any more - Apple did a great job with the iPhone's touchscreen keyboard.

There is no such thing as a Mac nano. The only Apple product with the "nano" moniker is the iPod nano. That was probably done to differentiate it from the iPod mini, which it replaced. "Mac mini" sounds better due to alliteration, but neither works like that with iPhone. Therefore, go with nano because people know about the iPod nano.
I know there isn't a "Mac nano" I'm just using that name because one was "rumored" a month or two ago.

I just think "mini" sounds better then "nano"

iPod mini sounds better then iPod nano

"iPhone mini" sounds better then "iPhone nano"

etc. Just my opinion.
