So many expectations. So many will be very disappointed. About the only thing missing form the wish lists is the iPony. I always wanted a pony as a kid.

Hi,

32GB on a phone?

That's more storage than my 4 year old iBook. How much storage space is enough .... for a phone?

s.

Nice to hear, I would love to have a 32GB iPhone. As far as some saying that there may be an announcement or release for the 17" MBP(glass), release probably not likely but I would be fairly surprised if more details and possibly dates are not revealed about this item.

Not long now before we're all at Macrumors deciphering the posters, and rumours of MWSF and the keynote on January 5th (though fairly recently they've been a bit too accurately predictive - takes away some of the unexpectedness).

By my calculation - if it's 34 days away -
Only ~3 weeks before more definitive rumours for MWSF
Only ~32 days till the posters start going up

My prediction:

A new product that will combine Mac Mini with Apple TV. It will be hailed by SJ as the 2nd "cuming". It will suck because it will cost too much, have a 3rd rate video card, take only 3 GB RAM, have only 2 USB ports and no FW and will only connect via Apple's proprietary cables/wireless. Many will buy it anyway. It will be slim, shiny and black/aluminum.

I'm only basing this prediction, of course, on current trends.

Truthfully, i do not know what to expect this year.... I followed the last couple of MWSF, and there were some leaks and hints. This year since the laptops got a revamp/refresh, ipods got a refresh, and there really has not been much talk about what is coming at MWSF, so I think the only things left are:

New/updated iphone - yep you know that will be in there.

Snow Leopard - Hopefully we hear something :) that front has been kinda quiet. I thnk there was only one developer release since it was announced at WWDC.

Maybe a new ilife 09

maybe some new enhancements to iwork

MSWF is usually the place for rolling out something new, so lets hope (but I am not holding my breath):

1. Economical Netbook to stop all the whining (although one would be cool).

2. Slate tablet or netbook tablet.

3. Blu-ray to stop all the whining.

4. New mini to stop all the whining. I think the mini form factor is great as it is, but it could use some higher specs.

But no matter what happens - there will be some oohs and ahhs, but also some "Dang they didn't..."

Pretty much looking across the board, here are some things that are pretty much at the End of Life and need some new ones:

1. Mac Pro
2. Mac Mini
3. Imac
4. ACD - ok, they came out with a new LED 24", but most of us can't use it yet.

those 4 seem to have been left in the dust recently.

*Edit, before someone says I can't count - I had added a 4th item, but neglected my last sentence - fixed.

My wishlist

Blu-Ray support (even if it is just noted as a part of Snow Leopard)
iWork '09
iLife '09
Snow Leopard demo and release date - even if it is "Summer '09"
New Mac Pros - with a graphics card update like the ATI 4850 at least (just so I can buy that graphics card separately for my older Mac Pro)

I don't know why any of this is beyond the realm of possible, but some things are going to have to be left out like usual.

:) But only if it's matte, not glossy? And how can they release an iPony without also releasing an iDonkey, an iMule and an iHorse?

Yes, for those, like me, who carry their iPod with them wherever they go. It would be simple convenience not to have to carry around 2 devices everywhere. I don't travel much, but when I do I like to put a movie or a couple shows on my iPod. Again, with bigger storage, I can do this with my phone that I would also have with me. To be honest, I'm not even sure what else I could put on an iPhone to take up more space. But to answer your question I'd say as close to the storage the largest iPod has. Apple decided 160 GB was too large and must not have sold as well so they're 120 GB now. If the technology were there, I'd be iPhones with that much storage would be big sellers (though expensive as heck).

10" netbook, only because Steve said they won't go after that nascent market.

I would like to see

New imac
1Tb Apple TV
8 inch tablet -
32 gig iphone
64 gig itouch
17 inch mac book pro

I own a 16GB iPhone 3G, and I've never had a storage problem.

For Thanksgiving weekend, I loaded one movie, an entire season of Heroes, about a dozen podcasts (some with video), and still had room for more music than we had time to listen to.

On the software side I want

iphone 3.0 with Copy and Paste + Note Synching + Summary Screen when on slide to unlock screen for e-mails texts appointments weather etc. Seen a few good designs on here.
Over the air wifi synching
Snow Leopard

id love me some 32gb iphone.

over thanksgiving, after certain unexplainable events...my phone ended up fully submerged in a glass of water.

so...a 32gb iphone would justify the sad sad tale.

As much as I have been waiting for a new Mini to enter the Mac market, if a mini-display port is the only connection option (and no adapters available by then) I may consider skipping Macs for another year or two until some of these issues get worked out.

Good point. Minis are a good cheap solution. Which only makes sense if you can just use any monitor laying around.

I'd like to see the storage bump on the iphone, to keep up with the rhythm of updates so far. Not ready to upgrade just yet, but i'd be ready for a major revision come june.

Ohh!!! Wish List!!! :D

Not really interested in any of the recent :apple: offering(s). Excited nonetheless. :)

I'm hoping they put out the MyPod and the iPony software suite for the new MyPod will rock. :-0

In all seriousness I hope the iMac gets the LED update that the other displays got.
