a release date for the adapters to use the LED with older computers.
Would be Nice. although, I already went out and bought a 19-inch LG and am using my mini-DVI to DVI adapter. Only problem with my rigup (LG Monitor, separate amplified speakers, 7 port USB hub, etc) - all the darn cables. with the LED I could eliminate half the cable clutter
doubt it has to do with 'the cloud'. improvements on imovie's tools, numbers and such perhaps but I don't seem them being ready to take the apps online given the trouble that the current mobile me is still having
Well, I do not want to start another rash of posts, but I do not know what your talking about ... After the first few weeks, Mobile Me was acceptable to me - minus a couple of down times; now it is better, no problems from what I can see. I mean if I do anything in the cloud (web app), bam instant push to my mac. if I do anything on my mac - well, there is that timed thing, but we are only talking a couple of minutes. I have mine set to sync automatically. and my Entourage calendar also sync quite well. I let my busysync/busymac and my syncman trials expire for my Gmail, but that worked well too (could sync gmail and mobile me to have backups of each other and it did not matter where I made the change) Are the remaining problems an iphone thing? Cause even my iweb website hosted on mobileme has been good. I have not used idisk per say (am not one to have my documents floating around an internet), and well with only one mac (the mini is my wife's and she just uses it for music and internet); I have no need for back-to-my-mac.
Seriously I want to know - because there is a rumor
the only comment from Apple about Steve is likely that folks need to shut the F up about his health, it's none of anyone's business and he's not doing the speech cause he's not the only person at Apple with a brain and it's time for the world to get that through their collective thick skulls -- which they have basically said several times already
and they already explained why they are pulling out of Macworld -- they don't need it anymore. there are other and better ways to do their announcements. the "lets rock" and notebook events being a prime examples. add to this that Apple hosts the WWDC barely six months later, sticking with MacWorld makes little practical sense.
Chill out dude! I see your point. I was not refering to his health. I was referring to a statement of why all the news at the last minute and maybe a little information on the future direction of apple. especially since it seems they are coupling themselves more with microsoft (exchange support, running windows in bootcamp, rumors of web apps, etc), and all the focus on consumer products. Pro users have been miffed recently. I am not a professional video or photography by any means, but I use my mac every day for many hours doing that as a hobby for people.
