I really hope people don't buy this. It is incredibly overpriced considering it doesn't even come with the necessary power adapter to charge at full output. Please help stop this in its tracks with your wallets. I recently got an iPhone 12 Pro, but I will NOT be supporting "MagSafe."

To all of the people saying that we're too poor to afford this; I just dropped $1300 on an iPhone 12 Pro and I would've easily dropped another $1k for the Xbox bundle GameStop was selling on launch day. It's not about being able to afford this product. It's the fact that they are selling a product that doesn't work as advertised unless you shell out another $20-50 for the proper adapter. For a $129 price tag, they damn well better include the brick. It almost seems like they are trying to recoup the losses on the failed AirPower or whatever the hell it was supposed to be called.

Did difference is you actually interact with those things. They are a necessity in this day an age. An over priced wireless charger isn't a necessity. Smartphones and watches are more of a personal experience then a charger. All chargers do the same thing.

You can't replace the function of a smart phone with anything else but you can use cheaper/free charger to charge them. If you are set for life money wise then go for it but most consumers definitely aren't.
I think you’re slightly over dramatizing things. Sure wireless chargers aren’t necessary because you can just simply use a cord but they are a convenience. Having a newer MacBook isn’t necessary for most people. Unless you’re a professional even taking twice as long to do something isn’t going to hurt you. Just because it’s a first world problem doesn’t mean it’s not worth spending money on. You don’t have to be set for life to spend money on something that’s not absolutely required. I go to Starbucks but could get the same coffee at home for a fourth of the price. That doesn’t mean I’m set for life. Of course when it comes to your money only you can make that decision. Some people are that tight with her money and while I personally won’t do that I can’t fault them. Just remember you can’t take it with you 🤷‍♂️

people who buy this are buying for convenience and those who go away it's quite an ideal thing to take with you for one so while it's costly it gives people the chance to use both MagSafe and apple watch

Just woke up in the UK to see this. Pulled the trigger and order placed. The cost is hardly anymore than purchasing the Apple Watch Dock that requires a power brick plus a magsafe charger and a power brick. It will also be very convenient for travelling as it folds away nicely and means that i dont have to take the Apple Watch dock, magsafe charger, two cables and two power bricks.
I have seen several of the chinese knock offs on youtube. They don't fold in half properly and the charging puck for the watch can't be pushed in to a horizontal position for bedside mode.
If i don't like it I shall return it.

Other reviews showed the opposite so what to belieeeeve
guess we will see when it's in the hands of real users I guess but I think if those are trying to pull it off it can be done but the video's I've seen there has been no issues.

obviously this is overpriced but given the price of other 2 in 1 chargers by main brands the price isn't far from those.

BAM! Ordered. Perfect for travel. Now if I could just get my hands on that sweet Belkin BOOST↑CHARGE™ PRO 3-in-1 Wireless Charger with MagSafe for my nightstand and I’ll be a happy camper.
you getting both then? think this duo charger is great for those who will plan on travelling or those who want something compact and small enough for the bedside

On cue, the "apple can do no wrong" crowd has emerged to fight any criticism.
The Apple hate club here needs to deal with the fact that not everyone else is going to agree with 100% of their criticisms. Sometimes, they gonna get a lil pushback.

There are plenty of things Apple deserves criticism for, but not including yet another power adapter isn’t one of them, for me.

at $129 is not something I have any particular issue with, any more than I did this at $79 🤷‍♂️

If people don’t want it, cool. If they don’t like it for whatever reason(s), cool. If people can’t afford it but want to trash it, cool. Some people want to buy it, that’s cool too!

But complaining that it’s overpriced is not cool, it’s just wrong. Expensive, sure for some. High priced? Absolutely, if you think it is, it is.

But too expensive? Overpriced? Not at all.

agreed not everybody will justify high prices for products...this is very expensive but a product's worth is depending on how much one would use it and how convenient it is for the user...this is convenient as with MagSafe people don't need to worry about placing it right as most do need to do with other chargers.

Can't be that hard, tbh.. just rest part of your hand / a few fingers on the charger while lifting the phone/watch off.

Should certainly be easier than with the Apple Watch or MagSafe Charger, since it is protruding.

You seem proud to let everyone know you can afford a $130 charger. Congrats. You should go for one of those new leather sleeves.
Why do you care what others buy? If someone wants to buy a $120 sleeve and someone else a $12 knock off, who cares either way?

Why are people up in someone else’s business about what they spend their money on? Makes no sense.

Putting price completely aside, it’s underwhelming. I think it should be more like a dock and actually hold the watch and phone, not some weird little travel charger that’s just not very...elegant—at all. It’s essentially the two chargers I already own clipped to each other

I would pay good money for a charging case for the watch, something like the plastic box that came with the first stainless steel watch or the case that came with the first sport watches.

I don’t see anything wrong with the leather sleeve, it’s just a disappointment that there’s no folio also on offer.

Don’t buy it if you don’t like it, but no need to criticize those of us who want and like this product.
yeah really don't see why so many are getting angry over this...many people buy $10 chargers and others will buy $100 chargers...everybody sees value differently.

Apparently an incredibly overpriced $130 charger is the most important thing going on these days. and if you don't buy it, you're apparently cheap. I'm learning so much.
There’s where you went wrong... it’s not “incredibly overpriced”. It’s expensive, maybe. Some might say high priced.

But overpriced? Too expensive? That’s a personal value judgment. Incredibly overpriced to you. Trivially cheap to others. As long as Apple sells the quantity they intend, the price is exactly right.

If they plan to sell 10 million/year and they end up only selling 3 million, then yeah, it’s overpriced. But if they end up selling 20 million, we can safely say they underpriced it.

I suspect the MagSafe duo was designed to be a portable 2-in-1 charger for travellers. This messaging clearly went out of the window the moment COVID hit, but if I had to stay anywhere overnight, I would consider getting one to be able to charge my iPhone and Apple Watch with a single cable.

Then you are looking for a different product.
A part from the price, this seems to be very convenient for traveling to me, since you need one less cable and wallplug. and it neatly folds together. But of course you can use it at home too, so you don't need 2 solutions.

There are plenty of dock solutions already. But i don't know any other traveling charger like this. (yet. i'm sure it won't take long)
