Congrats! Which ball mount did you already have (assuming you’ve decided to keep using it because it works better than the one included with the ESR)? I ask because for my vents, that is the main weakness in the ESR system and was wondering whether there’s a better ball mount for vents (maybe one that has a spring-loaded hook) out there
As someone else noted the Zeera apparently has a good AC vent clip. I personally have an aftermarket holder that attaches to factory hardware on the dash....its made specially for mini coopers. I will post a pic shortly.

Man that sucks. I don't mind Ali-Express if you receive what you ordered... knowing it is a knockoff and might not work as intended. But to receive something so materially different than what was pictured is bad. I was tempted to order one of these, but now glad I didn't. If I do end up ordering off there, it will be one of the ones that we've seen like the Zeera where I've at least seen photos/reviews from actual users.
Well, on the plus side, since I am going to get a refund, my car mount was free. So that's a silver lining. In my mind there is no risk ordering from a place like AliExpress, because worst case you can just do a chargeback through your credit card.

Here's my MagSafe solution with parts from RAM Mounts, a USB-C extension cable, and some double-stick tape!

MagSafe is so much more elegant than my previous setup with a clunky iOttie car mount.

And yes... I will remove this if I carry passengers so it doesn't interfere with the passenger airbag. (I rarely carry passengers though...) 😎

Using one of these in my Nissan Elgrand, not the smoothest of drives and absolutely zero issues, even on really pot holey roads, charges at advertised rates as well according to my USB meter. Literally cannot fault it at all. Anyone who says the magnets aren’t strong enough are plain just lying.

Yea the hold on these are the only real positives. The quality and charging speeds are not good though.

Charging speed on mine is fine, get around 10w. Charges my phone whilst im driving...

the vent clip is decent enough, doesn’t budge at all.

sure if you twist it, it has give...but it’s a lot sleeker user journey than any non MagSafe car mount I've got.

Is the cable USB-C and removable or is it USB-A and attached?

I totally agree. I hate when the seller shows something totally different than what they send you. It’s terrible, but I usually expect to be disappointed with third party devices. I have no skin in the game for Zeera and paid full price for 2 of these. But as I mentioned before, I am pleasantly surprised and happy with my purchase. Did take 10 days to get to me in NH.
Do they work with CarPlay?

So I received my Belkin MagSafe Car amount about a week ago. So far zero issues. Super sturdy holding up the iPhone 12 Pro Max. I probably did some serious damage to my suspension driving over speed bumps like a maniac to see how it held, but it’s all in the name of science lol. At no point did I feel like it was gonna fall off. So far my only “issue” which isn’t really an issue but more of my OCD kicking in, I’ve noticed that on the Apple Leather case I’m starting to get a very very faint outline of the mount. If you rub it a little it goes away. It certainly helps that the Belkin mount is rubberized. I know that some find the price steep considering it doesn’t charge, but if you don’t want a charging mount or you’re fine with the price, I highly suggest you get one... that is, if you can find one.

idk if this has been asked or not. I have a magnet for my truck but also have carplay so I need to plug in the phone. I'm reading these magnets aren't as strong to use on current mounts. has anyone seen a magsafe mount with the ability to mount to my dash and not the vent without having to plug in?

If you see my previous post, my MagSafe one I got has a dash mount included as well. Like this...

One of these might’ve made things easier for you...

£5 off eBay.

Is that a vent clip?

That's specifically what I didn't want and why I went with another type of mounting system... 😎

I'm not a fan of vent clips. They sometimes aren't as secure as a solid mount... or they block the vent... or you've got hot air blowing on your phone in the winter... etc.

Thank you though. :)

Yea I agree. I’ve seen some complaints so far and seems like the seller will send the correct one without a cable attached and there was some mix up with batches. So guess I’ll complain and get a few extra of these for free. Not bad for now.

So heres one of the aliexpress holder I made to mount to my side table next to my bed. I didn’t want the cable white so I just wrapped a shrink tube around it and made a small section black. Used a thick L bracket scewed to the wood shelf for the air vent(grabber) and works perfectly. Looks pretty good I might say.
The Magnets are super strong. I did put small leather adhesive back strips on the corners of this just for some added protection from the coil. It doesn’t sit completely flat on it but charges and holds just tad less strong which is what I wanted.
also, another mount for my watch on the underside of it I’ve had for a few years now.

No trouble.

They also do a stand version.

Has anyone found a good option (Belkin included) that works well with vertical AC vents like these?

edit: not bothered about the ability to charge. 95% of my car journeys are short.
