I just ordered two of those (rectangular, not oval) off Amazon. Supposed to be here Dec 21-23.
This video from Amazon is very promising...

I'm assuming they use a 17mm ball mount so I also ordered two of these...

Plan is to replace the MagicMountProXL magnet on two ProClips w/the ball mount.
PS: I have an iPhone 12 Pro Max w/Apple Leather MagSafe Case.
If you're referring to the charging ring animation as promising, that means very little. I haven't figured out exactly what triggers it, but my Chinese mount will show it at 9V/3W charging, but not when it's running at 5V/5W.
At the very end of the description, it says the newest version supports 15W charging on the iPhone 12. Other than that, I would've assumed that it doesn't. It says all over that it's 15W Qi (which is different from Apple's proprietary 15W charging) and never mentions 15W and iPhone 12 together. It looks deceptive, without actually stating anything outright false. Hopefully this is just due to starting with an older version and updating it for iPhone 15W charging, rather than tricking people into thinking that "15W charging" + "iPhone 12 magnets" = "the same as Apple's official MagSafe charger".
If this does actually charge at 15W, I would be very interested in getting one myself. Since it's Amazon and easy to return, I might just go ahead and try it too.
