If you miss playing Portal this could be something for you. It's a DLC coming to Mac Sep 7. The base game Escape Sim has very positive reviews.

Also Europa Universalis IV and Orwell: Keeping an Eye on You for Mac are free on EGS.

Most likely the M1 is missing due to the 64-bit atomics restriction!

The devs behind Zero Ground, an upcoming FPS title, posted on r/macgaming about a month ago, to gauge interest in a Mac version, and to raise awareness of the title.

To put it mildly, they've been impressed by the response and have posted an update video.

Made in Unity.

You know this brings up a good question: When the hell is Fortnite gonna come back to Mac? It's been 3 years and the appeals are still going.
Probably when the suit gets settled or Tim Sweeny gets over himself.

Though I’ve heard Fortnite peaked in popularity awhile ago, so it may sunset before the suits are settled.

Hahahahaha no. Fortnite ain't sunsetting anytime soon. Everyone always says it peaks but they always say that during slower seasons. Fortnite always does something new every season and that catches interest in people checking it out. Plus their collabs still net a lot of money. Recently they just got the licensing to use Arnold Schwarzenegger's likeness for a Terminator skin, and are currently doing a collab with hit action anime Jujutsu Kaisen

Could prove it by me, I never played it. My brother did but he quit a few years ago.

In any case, lawsuits can take years to settle, and there’s no guarantee some other game won’t steal Fortnites thunder.

From r/macgaming...

Flatout 2's been updated for Apple Silicon Macs.

Fort Solis is out now on Steam. You can have 10% discount now and play it later when it comes to Mac.

Fort Solis is now available for pre-order on MAS.

It's not worth it. The game's getting panned by critics and audiences.

Some of my favorite reviews:

  • PC Gamer: If Fort Solis really was a Netflix series, it wouldn’t get a second season. (40/100)
  • EuroGamer: With a slow burn opening that lays the groundwork for a potentially brilliant sci-fi thriller, Fort Solis initially shows plenty of promise - but its story loses momentum in its later chapters, and fails to stick the landing. (40/100)
  • IGN France: Fort Solis is a walking simulator that feels more like a forced walk. (50/100)
  • Polygon: Fort Solis has some impressive talent behind it, not least the artists and performers. But almost everything else drowns beneath a thick sludge of annoyance thanks to the stifling mechanics, such as the useless map, lack of sprint, and overreliance on QTEs for the underwhelming mystery. If Fort Solis had been a 4K YouTube video instead of a game, I imagine the experience would not have differed much. And maybe it should have just been a video. At least I could have fast-forwarded through the tedious walking sections that comprise most of the game.
  • And my personal favorite the top review on Steam from a guy who got the game for free: Fort Solis is the worst video game I have ever played & completed in 20 years of gaming. Fails as a game, fails as a movie, total fail.
Baldur's Gate 3's Mac port arrives on September 6th. Just buy that instead if you haven't already. There's better Mac games you could buy for $25 instead, like Factorio, a game that is native on Apple Silicon and has infinite replayability. A game so addicting it's called Cracktorio by it's community.

Also Metacritic scores mean nothing in the grand scheme of things.

Maybe, maybe not. 🙃 Mixed reviews on Steam. Apparently it's not for everyone. Not saying it doesn't have issues though.

In the latest Sonoma beta, the Metal performance HUD has received some keyboard shortcuts, allowing it to be turned on or off, and enabling or disabling logging.

And Railgrade has been confirmed for Mac.
