I heard vague rumours earlier in the year about Lies of P coming to Mac, but those were really 'a friend of a friend of a friend' thing.
If it's not AAA, then it's certainly very close.
Be interesting to see how the base M1 Airs handle it, since the recommended sys reqs are pretty decent.
Is it Mac App Store only for macOS? I'd prefer Steam (so I can play on Steam Deck).
A quick search only shows the "press release" that says Apple Silicon. The Steam page only shows PC system requirements, which appear to be lower than I remembered them being. Are Mac sys reqs out or are you thinking of PC reqs?

I don’t think the low resolution is that big of a deal. Though I would like to see Nintendo go balls to the wall on console specs again.I don’t like any exclusivity. My ideal world I would love it if PS5 could play Halo, Xbox could play Horizon, PC and Mac can play everything. I even want Nintendo on PC/Mac. Just imagine Zelda Tears of the Kingdom at 4K 60fps. I want it! Such a beautiful last two Zelda games and you can’t fully enjoy it because of it running at such low resolution.
Well that’s the thing, we don’t have access to that information. Can't imagine Valheim, a AA game made in Unity or Cities: Skylines would require more work than the gorgeous looking Lies of P. Btw it seems to be made in UE 4.

Maybe I’m being naive, but I’d guess that those companies ran the numbers and decided it wasn’t worth the cost. Much to our chagrin.
Which is sad because I really would like to play Skylines 2, and even though I plan on building a PC eventually, it’d be nice to play it on my ideal platform.
It's a UE4 game developed by a company that has little exprience with Macs. I don't expect performance to be good, compared to Windows.I heard vague rumours earlier in the year about Lies of P coming to Mac, but those were really 'a friend of a friend of a friend' thing.

As long as it can hit 60 frames (reaction time for dodging in Souls like games is important) t should be fine. It's a UE4 game developed by a company that has little exprience with Macs. I don't expect performance to be good, compared to Windows.
UE games perform poorly on Mac, generally.
Yes, we assume that alll devs make cost/earning calculations but we still see some devs fully support Mac and Apple Silicon even with AAA titles despite all the warnings of the supposedly small Mac gaming market. It's either ignorance or maybe such titles like Valheim and Cities: Skyline don't attract enough Mac gamers because apparently the Mac market is large enough for other developers.

Part of the calculus that goes into those decisions involves how much time and resources would be needed to develop a Mac version. For titles that use Unity or another cross-platform tool, it's a significantly lower cost of entry into the Mac side of the market. For developers who are using platform-specific languages or toolsets, the cost increases significantly because they have to port large portions of their game from Windows-specific languages and code to Mac-compatible code.
Cities Skylines (original) is available for Mac via Steam - I have it installed on my 14" MBP. Valheim is a game that feels like it's in a perpetual beta.Of course but that's why I mentioned those two examples. We're talking about Valheim, a AA game with simple graphics made in Unity. As you say yourself it wouldn't take much to port the game. They even had a Steam depot for beta testing but decided to delete it. Paradox too has always ported most of its games to Mac. Both Cities: Skylines 1 and 2 are made in Unity too. None of the two devs did/will do even a lazy x86 Mac port to be played in Rosetta.

I wouldn’t say I’m bothered by ports really. The only thing I care about is if Nintendo can deliver great games. If selling consoles facilitates that, then I’d support it.You're preaching to the converted. Unfortunately console fanboys (especially regarding PlayStation and Nintendo) can't wrap their head around the fact consoles and PCs are separate markets so their precious exclusives getting PC ports isn't the end of the world
Did you ever see the tweet of the guy who destroyed his home office because Horizon Zero Dawn got a PC port, or the guy who sawed his Spider-Man edition PS4 Pro in half because Spider-Man got a PC port?
Larian has updated that Baldur's Gate 3 for macOS will come later in the month. Disappointing for anyone who was hoping for the same release day of the PS5 version.
