No it's not :D

Actually, i think it lends a lot to a developers desire and commitment to create a quality app for a non-shipping device.

1/4-1/2" in a button placement is going to make a huge difference between something flowing well and not. Something an on-screen simulator can't recreate for you. I've used some apps i often wonder if they actually USED IT on a device because it doesn't flow at all.

The Omni Group put some decent effort into a mock-up to test with until they get the real thing. It is going to make me look at their Apps more when they ship!

I understand you run this website, 'Arn'? Don't be so arrogant and actually listen to the people who actually use your site. Personally I come here for news, not crap like this. I've followed MR for a good few years now and it's becoming seriously tired (in appearance and content) and is becoming less and less important in the world on Apple news. And with that attitude will continue to become so.

Well, don't we take ourselves seriously.

Now be a big boy, get off your computer and go play in the sunshine with your friends.

...ok, well, make some.

This story's purpose is solely to drive search engine traffic to the MacRumors site.

Capitalism people, capitalism.

Yes, Mock-ups are very important in the development process. Used to do them all the time. Much better and faster to get a good paper computer working correctly before you jump to code.

Dude, to be anatomically correct it NEEDS roundrects.
I heard a rumor that roundrects will be used on version 2. :p

Okay Okay Okay Guys and Girls..... ENOUGH "ARN" talk, he's obviously not worried about anybodies statement at the moment, cause he would have replied to the "bashing"....

For the people bashing ARN and his site, you can always cancel your account and troll elsewhere

For the people defending ARN, this GUY is a GROWN man and can defend himself, and if the sites owner feels the users are breaking the forum rules he will discipline accordingly

Welcome to MacRumors, Steve... Do you have any "rumors" to share?

Ahhh thank you, I'm glad to be here fellow mac-maniac.

Sadly, i don't have any new rumors to share with you all:(. I kinda used em all up at the Apple event when i announced the iPad :D

be on the lookout for new Macbooks though!

Make sure you don't get caught by co-workers, lovingly stroking your iPad paper cutout-model.

Hm... That fake keyboard dock pic got me thinking. I wonder what the function buttons on the keyboard will do?

A lot like brightness and volume are obvious, as well as media controls, but what about exposé, dashboard, and eject? Maybe the final keyboard won't have those keys marked, but we can always speculate.

That's really going to inspire confidence in the service you provide.:D

Its not meant for that, its more for a mockup just as any other Apple display ad does in our store... Show the customer an upcoming device along with a feature list.

Did I really have to explain this...

this is just so badass!

Great job, btw. I will be on the lookout for new Macbooks! How many are you sending and how do you want me to get my address to you? :)

Article says 8.5" x 11" A4 size

A4 is an international paper size, not US letter size. A4 is comparable to the German paper size, which is 8.3" x 11.7"
