.Me

The Push aspect is very nice. All of my email addresses are forwarded to my .Mac (.Me) account and they all come to my Treo (via chatter) pretty much instantly.

Though that obviously doesn't include contacts or calendar on a Treo.

Like I said it did work for a little period last night (EDT)
and the @me.com messages got into the .me account
and the .mac message in my .mac account

I understand that the .mac account will disappear to the benefit of the .me account

So anyway, I configured the .me account and I'll see when it becomes active

Maybe a new version of Mail will be issued and needed

Your .Mac account will NOT disappear, you will still be able to use your .Mac email address in the future.

@me.com doesn't appear to work for me I sent a test email to my mac address but with @me.com and I got this email back

Great news! I've just send a few emails to my @mac.com-aliases - replacing "mac.com" with "me.com" -> emailalias1@me.com, etc...

WORKS!!! Apple has even transitioned all the aliases to me.com!!!

Two weeks ago I created some new aliases ideally suited to me.com and I'm delighted to find they've all been translated. They have stopped alias creation on .Mac with the message "You will be able to create a new alias after 2/7/08".

I've switched to @me.com now.

It'll be exactly like the iPod - a stupid name at the start that no one really liked, but grow on people and I reckon it'll be extremely successful and the MobileMe name will become well known.

Actually they haven't stopped it... when you create too many aliases in a short time, the system stops you.

Thanks for that bit of information. Since I hadn't got up to the five, I'd assumed the block was a general one because of the changeover to mobile.me

This is fun. Quite a few amusing @me address aliases still available. I just claimed everybodyistalking, quit.hollering and blue.skies.smilin (think Harry Nilson, John Prine and Irving Berlin) -- and they work!

Does anyone know if accounts using .mac will get pushed as well?

Yes they will.

How do you add more aliases to the account?

Not sure you understand the concept here
everybodyistalking at me, or, quit at me ... it does not mean anything....

You seem to speak good English - you really don't see anything witty about having that as an email address?
