I'm sure AT&T isn't helping, but about a third of the time I can't even get to the page where I enter my #, zip and SSN. So obviously Apple is having its own issues.

What would have been nice is if AT&T handed out one-time-use codes similar to iTunes App Store promo codes up to a week or so ago that could have been used on Apple's website to properly get the pricing.

All this slamming the servers, I bet that they're really just sitting back, smiling, and not doing anything but getting press releases compiled to say how much they're sooooo wanted and popular.

Makes you wonder who's getting cussed out...who's fault it is now?
I can just see someone red in the face...yelling, "I want this fixed, now!"
I picture an angry Sicilian...lol.

Has anyone emailed jobs?...we need answers...

being in the IT field I cannot under mind the logistics needed for this process, it seems that apples site is doing ok, however when apple.com attempts to query AT&T's servers its very clear that AT&T, much like their networks, cannot handle the amount of account queries.

I'll keep trying but it may come down to me going to BB and get one there.

Well, it seems that if the problem is with accessing AT&T then BB will have the same issue since they must access for account verification as well.

They shouldn't have let the iPhone owners who weren't eligible for upgrades without the 6 month grace period pre-order. That would have cut down on a lot of this mess.

It shouldn't be a surprise.

ATT's servers stalled with a relatively light load after the iPhone was announced, and people were checking their status.

hmmm.... mine says "processing"

Ordered at about 6:30 MST

People need to stop blaming ATT here. When you call Apple directly to order, the system DROPS THE CALL. You can't even get the automated system half the time.

Nope. This is Apple. I'm sure ATT is being slammed too but Apple isn't faring any better.

After 4 hours of failed order attempts I finally took a drive to my local Best Buy and did their reservation deal for $50. Was the second person to do it at that site so I know I will be good for getting one on the 24th. Seeing as Fedex can be late for me sometimes this is probably the best option. I would be pissed if the home delivery did not come till 3:00 or there about.
Now I really can't wait till the 24th.

I just checked my status and it shows processing as well. It also shows this "Unless you are an employee of UPS, USPS or DHL, your shipment should ship via FedEx."
