LOL you're such a fanboy. jk! :D

No, seriously. I have an iPad running what? OS 3.2? I cant get it to do more than one thing at a time. Its annoying having to press the big round button at the bottom to back out of everything when I want to do something else. Seems so outdated. I can get my IM to run at the same time but I have to use the lame browser for it thats from 1998 looks like.

So, you made a big deal about it not multitasking, and then when we point out that it can do everything Android can, while still preserving battery, you try and say that it "finally caught up."

Also, how is it useless? Any app that needs to multitask will be updated to do so, and as I understand it iOS 4 saves states for apps that don't implement it so it's like pausing an app. However, I may be wrong about that last part.

Its already been made known that only certain apps will be allowed to multitask. What if those are ones you never use or dont care about? Useless then to you right?

It's because the iPad is not getting iOS 4 until this fall...sucks I know.

I highly recommend going to spiritjb.com and jailbreaking your iPad. It will make things much easier plus you will see the HUGE difference between jailbreak and root.

Jailbreak is so insane and better. With a rooted android, all you do is setup custom roms, custom skins, tweaks, etc. It doesn't do anything special. Where as a jailbroken iphone/ipad, you can add new interfaces, widgets, change apps, etc, etc so much.

Where did you hear this? I certainly didn't hear it when they announced all the multitasking API's they've built for all of the developers...

I am tempted to and probably will once you can put 4.0 on it. Hopefully before the fall

Again, it is NOT certain apps. Developers have already updated their apps and just waiting until June 10th to submit the updated apps.

Pretty much 98% of all apps will be able to multitask :)

Sounds to me like you really can't stand Apple.

What are you doing here again? From what I've seen recently, trolling and spreading false information mostly.

But Android does it too, without jailbreaking....

Ok, I will take your word for it. Still need to see it in action though.

Arent you the guy who took his Evo back? What are YOU doing here? Remove that avatar at once! I own an iPad, iMac and Macbook so I am pretty sure I dont hate Apple, I have given them thousands of dollars this year alone :)

I agree 100%. And contrary to what most say, the Sense UI is absolutely amazing. The widgets alone are what made it for me.

If the Evo were on AT&T it would have replaced my iPhone. As of now, iPhone is their best so that's what I have to use for now.

Yup. That's me!

I took it back because of the carrier, not the phone. And as I said before, I still have my Nexus One so the avatar stays. I think Android has a lot of potential but I really need a decent phone on AT&T before I can make that switch.

Still rumors of the HTC Desire coming to AT&T :D

Also don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of both OS's. I would have gotten the Nexus One a while ago, but after reviews of the multi-touch hardware being the WORST of all android phones, I changed my mind. Now...the HTC Desire is something to drool over :)

I've been a fan of the whole clock/widget since the original TouchFlo I even have it on my iPhone lol

AT&T needs some solid Android phones. HTC's last 4 phones (Desire, Legend, Incredible and Evo) have all been excellent. Sprint could use the Desire or Legend to replace the Hero but I doubt that happens.

Imposter!

Kidding. It's pretty nice but I feel it really clutters the screen on the iPhone. On the Evo I was able to have that with two rows of icons underneath (not counting the dock).

I hope there will be an app that can mimic most of Sense's UI. I just love the interface and it's animations.

Well the bottom is my "2nd" row. I can have 3 total rows but I like the clean look. My 2nd page has my apps in folders and all orgainzed lol.

On Android, your bottom isn't even a row besides an app drawer and phone app?

Well with Sense you have the plus button, too.

Jus sayin'. :D

Does it have the weather animations too?

Woohoo!!! Just ordered an EVO from Wirefly.com with Bing Cashback!!! Hopefully the 1-2 weeks for delivery is accurate!

I hate the sun though....looks like I don't know <_< Doesn't remind me of "sunny" at all, but more like something intimidating.

HTC's is still superior. I so want an HTC theme clone for the iPhone.

I am not sure you can port the HTC Sense version over. iPhone only has 256MB of RAM so anything with heavy animation will be choppy or may not even run right.

Yeah. Let me know when you find that inexpensive 32G microSD card!

Why do people say things like this? Yeah, it cost extra money for a 32gb card in an EVO. So what! It cost about the same amount to up the memory in an iPhone from 16gb to 32gb as well. Therefore this issue is in fact, a non-issue.

I had the droid incredible for a week. The senseUI was nice. Esp the clock/weather widget.

Battery was meh...

Price of upgrading to a 32gb microsim was pricey. All I could find was a $200 32gb microsim straight from sandisk(I think). Otherwise, most retailers only had 16 gb microsims.

Plus cost of a larger battery (much needed). Felt like it would be much more expensive to outfit the droid like I would have wanted.

Will Sprint be around in 2 years?

Sure, why not? People were saying the same exact thing 2 years ago and planning the funeral. They managed to survive anyway, didn't they? And that was without decent phones. Now they have a much better selection, and they STILL have better coverage and signal strength. Let's see....AT&T has had what...three YEARS to get things right? And they still haven't. Yeah, I know they work fine for some of you, but for most people they do not. And some of you must never ever travel outside your little bubble either.

This is true. AT&T was just voted the worst carrier out of the major 4 a few months back. They really lucked out with the iPhone because they havent had a phone that mattered since, their CS is awful and so is their network. They could well be out of business if the iPhone gets on other carriers and people arent forced to sign up with them.

This is what I was talking about. Posted by a member running 4.0 already

"Although remember that the only apps that support background usage at this time are the default applications built into iOS 4.0. (For example iPod, Mail, etc.)"

That is not true multitasking if only a few apps can run in the background. Sounds like no 3rd party apps will be allowed to.
