2 problems with your "issue"

1. If you're such long time user, why would you go to BB? The iPhone 4 may not be your first choice but what about your old 3G/3GS? Fail #1.

2. You have a 30 day return policy. If you don't like the phone return it, and AT&T will rescind the contract. Fail #2.

Other than that, thanks for repeating what everyone else has said....troll

Yawn!!!!

I think I saw this post last year of all the people complaining to skip the 3gs and get the iPhone 4.

Next year it will be don't buy 5 wait for 6.

ok first of all, it is true that all phones have reception issues. and furthermore you have to be holding the phone in a pretty strange way during phone calls to replicate the reception issue. second of all, you will be eligible for the subsidized price of 200 next year when the new iphone comes out. EVERYONE IS. you will be able to sell your iphone for 200+ and get the new one essentially for free. stop bitching.

What do you mean everyone will be eligible pricing for next year's Iphone? Is that true?

I'm not him but I know for a fact experience doesn't make you a drone. That and that fact that call quality on the 3Gs weren't exactly anything to write home about.

Nopers, only reason ATT did their "generous" deed of letting everyone upgrade was they want to lock you into the $325 ETF so you don't jump ship in January when Verizon gets their iphone.

Just return your phone and they'll rescind the 2 yr contract.

Is that so hard to understand?

You know kids, it's a PHONE!
I mean, HOLY CRAP, if it doesn't work the way you need it to work, return it! But since none of have a CLUE what the next iPhone will bring, it seems just a tad premature to suggest the next one will be the iPhone Second Coming version...

OK, you have scared me away. Just to be safe I think I will hold out for iPhone X or 10 coming out about 2016 for no other reason that it will be a super identifier. :D ;)

Read the OP's 1st post again. "Long time iPhone user". Clearly he was happy with whatever iPhone he previously had.

Here's why you should _NOT_ buy iPhone 4, and wait until iPhone 5 is released at the next upgrade cycle (approx. June 2011).

As a long time Apple customer, iPhone & MacBook Pro user, I trusted Apple and bought the iPhone 4... BIG Mistake!

Returning it is not an option as I use a MacBook Pro & iPhone combo for all my content such as calendar, contacts, music, videos, and photos all residing in the Apple ecosystem via iTunes. Since I've just used my upgrade, I will end up paying hundreds of dollars more next year to get out from under this marginal iPhone 4 and into an improved iPhone 5. A smartphone that is sure to be better now that Apples decided to get serious and hire special antenna engineers (see link below).
Why not return it and get an iPhone 3GS?

Going out on a limb here... but I think being able to make a call will be high on the priority list for the next iPhone. Even while touching it.

What makes you think iPhone 5 won't have its own set of problems, considering it'll be a Rev A all over again?

This is my fear. I'm definitely not buying the ip4 for many reasons, but probably the number one reason is that it's so aesthetically ugly and chunky. Unfortunately the ip5 will probably be a refresh of the ip4 so it seems we are stuck with this design until maybe the ip6.

Had an AT&T blackberry bold 9700 and it dropped a ton of calls. No good case available for it while making calls.

iPhone 4 - no problems whatsoever holding it naked. In my bumper, even better.

But thanks for your concern.

Return your iPhone 4 and buy an iPod touch, which is essentially the operational equivalent to your iPhone 4, as you describe it.
